A note about the Kent easy access issue 76, when I opened it I got a "funding instructions" email saying the usual 7 days to initially fund the account, but also:
"Your account opening date will start from the date the initial deposit is received. You will then have 14 days from that date to make any further deposits into your account. After this time, any further deposits will not be accepted."
That limitation was unexpected given the web page said "additional deposits allowed", I did not expect only 2 weeks to fund.0 -

That limitation was unexpected given the web page said "additional deposits allowed", I did not expect only 2 weeks to fund. That appears to be a mistake on their part. The 14 days for further deposits is the Kent Reliance normal term for fixed rate bonds. For easy access there is no such restriction[easy access 76] Additional deposits can be made by cash (only available at our branches), cheque or bank transfer. We do not accept deposits by debit card into your account[fixed rate bonds] Additional deposits are permitted within the first 14 days of the account opening. We do not accept deposits by debit card into your accountNo notice yet of a reduction in interest rates since the base rate cut (same applies to the easy access cash ISA issue 55)I came, I saw, I melted0 -

It'll be a typo, the restriction makes no sense on an Easy Access account. Probably the instructions for one of their bond products.
Give them a call just in case they've introduced a truly novel and useless product.3 -

EDIT: SJMALBA reported the converted RS EA (ERG) rate drop on 17th Feb. So you (we) have seen it before!0 -
Can anyone with a Kent Reliance easy access account please tell me - if you've paid into the account recently did you get a confirmation text the next morning? I remember quite some time ago the last time I used them they used to do this, but I paid into my account yesterday but didn't receive any text (although the money did show in the account yesterday evening which is quicker than I used to experience as it used to show the next morning). Maybe they have changed their process since the last time I used them.0

interesting that with the EA account we got a full month's notice, whereas with the EA RS2, it's just 2 days notice - though as you say, we were given unofficial notice that the change was coming by a previous post.0
