It works OK in Vivaldi, but that currently has its own bugs, so I'm back with Firefox. Firefox has the issue. If I click on a thread, it opens correctly. If I right click, and "open link in new page", it takes me to the bottom of the page.I always work this way, so I know it's only a recent problem.(!! These are the only two android browsers that force your forums into dark mode, so I need to use one or the other!! )Eta, also the crazy wide paragraph spacing is back again.Just narrowed it down even further...Right clicking to open an unbookmarked thread is OK.Right clicking to open a bookmarked thread, jumps you to the bottom.0 -
Hi everyone
This issue has been marked as being resolved in an upcoming release:Fixed issue where ‘Back’ browser button takes user to the bottom of the pageThis is expected to come into effect in the week beginning 29th July, but sometimes some of these fixes are back-ported and you can see them in effect earlier.Join the MSE Forum

Looking forward to it or backward to it, if it was fixed earlier!0

Not sure if it's related to the main reported issue or not but I've recently found that the navigation to the first unread post of a thread (via the #latest URL suffix) is now also flawed too, and instead of presenting the new post itself (to read it), it positions the display below it, at the post editing window (to respond to it).
Just me (Chrome on Windows), or are others seeing this too?
It'll be interesting to see if the above-mentioned fix addresses this too, so perhaps a new thread if not....1 -

I flit between Vivaldi and Firefox.
Firefox was doing the "jumping to the bottom of the page" thing, and Vivaldi have messed up their zoom levels and dark mode. Grrr.0 -

Pages are opening at the correct / expected place now.Edited to add. Spoke too soon.If you right click/press, and open a bookmarked thread in new tab, it takes the you to the correct place. If you right click/press on a few in turn, before going and reading them, one thread is correct, but you get jumped to the bottom of the rest.0 -
