Taken to bottom of page?

Since yesterday, on returning from viewing a thread using my browser's back button, it takes me to the bottom of the board page, rather than returning to the position on the page that I started from.  There is a 'back to top' button there, but this behaviour is new and not particularly welcome, anyone else seeing this?

I am seeing it today and it is very frustrating, hopefully just a glitch.

I think they may have fixed now.

ETA. Spoke too soon, I thought they had fixed it but it's happening again. Though I did swop browsers this morning, maybe that was why I thought it was fixed.

Not for me, still happening, albeit not every time - I still haven't isolated exactly which navigation paths cause it and which don't!

    Hi

I'm not sure I can reproduce this.

Is it definitely taking you to the bottom and then just leaving you there? Leaving you to scroll up to see the content?
I am noticing that the footer is appearing immediately when I use he Back button, but it seems to be because it's loading first and the rest of the page is taking a second before it appears. When it finally loads it takes me to the content.

Chrome (android) works - just checked. My normal browser is duckduckgo and it's still broken.

It takes you to the bottom of the page and stays there after page load if on affected browser.
Try duckduckgo on android phone for example.

Here's a screenshot (using Chrome on Windows) - read a thread on the banking board, hit back button and this is what's displayed, with no further loading, so I have to scroll all the way back up again, or just a little bit to the 'back to top' button!

Yes, seeing exactly the same problem using the Opera browser.

Started sometime yesterday evening - Wednesday 22nd May.

As said above, doesn't happen every time, but more often than not when hitting the back button one is returned to the foot of the previously seen page.

Also having same problem using Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 laptop - goes to foot of page and stays there.

Firefox browser on same laptop, goes to foot of page and then jumps up to content.

Chrome on same, goes straight back to content.
