I haven’t posted recently as I’m not doing very well weight loss wise. I just can’t seem to get my mind round it. I agree with previous posters, who say that it’s easy to put the weight on but not take it off! I was SO hot on Friday. I had a 20 min, walk from the dentist to my car and I was jiggered! Decided to go to the Mr M for a few bits and bobs and the check-out lady laughed, saying that I looked hot. To be honest, the sweat was pouring off me and my hair was damp. This was partly due to the heat but also the few stone I’m carrying made me breathless and I realised just how unfit I was. When I told her I wasn’t feeling well, the lady offered to get me a first-aider, but I told her I would be Ok if I rested on the bench behind her. She kept looking across at me and then indicated with her hands, asking if I would like some water. When I nodded, the lovely lady left her till and ran to the water aisle and opened a six pack of water and gave me a bottle, which I was SO grateful for. The queue wasn’t best pleased to have to wait, but I think they understood, as one woman asked if I was Ok. Luckily I was (probably dehydrated) but it made me realise just how the extra weight was affecting my health. I used to walk miles, but I realised just how unfit I was if just walking 20 minutes had this effect on me. I know the heat had a lot to do with it as well, but the extra weight I was carrying certainly contributed.
I would like to look and feel better in my clothes, but this episode me me realise that I need to lose the weight for health reasons as well. AND none of my clothes fit me!!!!6 -
well done everyone clothes being looser is just as good as scales being down . i'll weigh today as back at work have dog walk with my pal tonight so that'll be 5k and a happy dog lol.
freetodo as u like feel ur pain i broke my leg 4 years ago and my fitness has plummeted i get my pts to get up on the hour everyday and walk the longest part of there house remove any obstructions rugs tables ect not allowed to be for a pee or cup of tea although if your on the declutter forum like me feel free to move stuff back to there rightful room .
your stamina will return quickly as you will accumulate 30 mins a day just doing this . some start at every 2 hours once fitter dont start doing stairs stay on flat and do it twice .
i have an issue with getting off my butt but love it once im there i'm treating myself to a beach walk once a week which is a 45 mile drive either way but at least i enjoy where i am x
hope you feel better soonSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x3 -
Much sympathy from me @FreetodoasIlike and I hope you are feeling better now. The heat really hasn't helped. Have you made a plan? Do you want to share it? Always happy to shoogle pompoms in the colour of your choice for the progress of others.
