I'm a bit of an "expert" serial dieter with the elusive stone to lose. This time last year I was on holiday in Croatia at my ideal weight having dieted and exercised to reach it so it can be done. That naughty stone has gradually crept back and the last few pounds have been rapid over the past few weeks. No excuses. I have been piggy and not exercised properly so back to calorie counting tomorrow (today is my birthday so last chance to be a pig!) and have booked onto a legs, bums and tum class at the gym.

It's nice to hear from everyone
I've lost the plot the last few weeks as I've been comfort eating for England and have dropped off the activity levels significantly. I've got a couple of weeks off coming up so I'd like to get back into it. I feel much better when I eat well, but that doesn't seem to be a big enough deterrent to stop me eating badly when I'm stressed or anxious!
My scales have been packed away recently so I don't know whether I've put on or not, but I don't feel like I have. I put them back in the bathroom the other day so should hop on and see what's happening."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I got on my scales this morning for the first time in a few weeks. It said I had lost about 4lbs which I don't consider realistic, so I tried again. At that point they told me I had lost around 30lbs! I think it's safe to say my scales are rubbish.
I'm on leave for a couple of weeks now, and I usually eat better when I've got more time, so I'm hoping to get back on track with things. I'm going swimming this morning which will be a good start."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Yes 30lb off would be a nice win I think. Our digital scales vary by up to 3kg depending on where they are on the floor, and they don't work at all on carpet. I am guilty of moving them round to get the most acceptable result.
lots of greenery eaten yesterday and a short walk once it stopped raining. I've had a clear out and can now access the Bowflex exercise machine downstairs. Need to tidy the clothes horse exercise bike next. Oh and actually try using either of them.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Although I'll probably get on them tomorrow and the 30lb will be added and probably another 30 for good luck

Well done on the greenery and walk. I've got one of those mini pedal cycle things that I bought and never really used. I'm going to declutter it as there's no point. The only thing I ever actually use is hand weights and resistance bands. I'd be better off using an online workout if I feel like doing something at home."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Could I join please…..I’m getting older and definitely moving up the scales! I got under the dreaded stone bracket just before I came away (back next Thursday) so hoping I at least remain the same despite the All Inclusive restaurants here!
I joined the gym for the first time in years in July after deciding to prioritise myself after 12 years and have really enjoyed body pump - 3 times a week at least.Want to be fit and healthy, brack in my old sized clothes by Christmas - not getting too het up with the scales but like that it now starts with a 9, psychologically. Don’t be impressed, I’m only 5ft! 😂😂😂😂MM
