Is it like Barclays where you have to upload a video of yourself moving and talking, or is it it simpler? You take a selfie, once your face is in frame it auto takes. Then you take a photo of your chosen ID.Then it takes a couple of minutes to process

Strange bag of results for me which is mixed vs what everyone else has, done all 3...
Natwest got my account number etc and a customer number that ends in 0000 which was odd as it usually increases, however I can't login or setup online access even though it's all approved. Iv'e had old accounts though with natwest which i assume has done something.
RBS went smoothly, have account numbers etc and online access is all setup and working
Ulster, didn't need to do hooyu but I just have a reference number and no account details yet0 -

The in/out shuffle is still perfectly possible, it just takes 5+ days. The point above the 24 hours one makes this clear.

SickGroove said:Anyone signed up with Ulster? My switch to them is confirmed & going ahead but they said an email would be sent "shortly" a couple days ago to enable me to sign up for online banking but nothing received yet.
Applied for the Select Account on 15 Feb and received a text message on 16 Feb (from 'Ulster Bank' - not a random mobile number) thanking me for switching, and confirming they've instructed my old bank to transfer the balance and close that account on 23 Feb.
Sort code and number of the new current account were visible online and in the app within 24 hours, and debit card and PIN arrived in the post a couple of days later.
Am pessimistic about my chances of receiving the incentive though, having had one from NatWest only this time last year.

How long did it take for debit card to arrive after opening account? Can you view pin before it comes in the post via the app!0

Has anyone tried to switch to Ulster bank yet? Do they ask for the long card number? I have my dummy bank already but I don't have the card yet. I'm planning on doing the switch while waiting for my other (Natwest) to come through0

anoukis said:Right, thanks... I'll try to get the triple incentive using Chase accounts - have never tried anything like this so it's almost exciting. Hopefully nothing tragic happens, like accounts closed / lifetime ban or something like that.
I managed to open Natwest yesterday and requested a switch today, all good there - mobile banking active.
I also applied for Ulster and RBS last night and requested a switch at the time of application.
Ulster gave me a switch date (29 Feb) and an application reference number was displayed online, but they didn't email me at all.
With RBS I got an email confirmation to say they reserved an account for me, then I passed security and and haven't heard since ("We'll be in touch shortly with an update on your account."). No switch date confirmation.
Ulster and RBS have not given me the sort code / acct number / customer number yet.
Does the switch to Ulster Bank asked you for the long card number? My debit card for my dummy account has not arrived yet but I do have my acc number and sort code. I was wondering If I can do the switch without the card number0 -

Hello,
I've come quite late to this thread! I haven't read it all, but please can I ask a couple of questions from the more initiated?
I am eligible for this offer with all three banks, NatWest, Ulster and RBS. Have I correctly understood, that it is possible to apply now for a new account with all three N, U and RBS and switch in and get the incentive three times?
Am I correct that no direct debits are needed? The only requirement is to pay in the £1,250 and log in on mobile app? That would make it much easier as I don't have DDs on the donor account.
I only have one spare account to switch in, but I do have Chase, so have I correctly understood it's easy to open 2 more now with Chase and just immediately switch them out. Can't Chase object/cancel this if you do switch away so quickly?
Many thx.0
