Had my RBS card and pin come so just have to wait for the switch to officially go through.

You can switch either a sole or a joint account, however the most you will get is one payment. It's always better to do a sole switch so both you and your partner can get the incentive each (ie. each do a sole switch), as opposed to only getting one incentive for switching a joint account.musicman100 said:Can you do this with a joint and a single to get two payments or is it only one? thanks0 -
Doesn't really matter if you input your Chase debit card details or not. Your card won't be cancelled or anything, and you can always reassign it to another account in the app anyway.superdayold said:
The good thing about the natwest process if you are using a Chase additional account and dont want to forfit your card (and i assume the same for RBS and Ulster) is that it doesn't require you to give the actual card details, just account number and sort code. You can tick to say you never had a card for that account. Whereas the Lloyds one wanted the long card number, which (I think) will mean the card has to go (well, it will for my nationwide account, but i mean if I had used an additional chase account).mrniceguy111 said:
Hi!Organgrinder said:Same here. Just opened another Chase account and will switch that.
I'm sure all good things will come to an end, but if successful this will be almost £1000 in a few months in total.
Is it pretty painless in opening a Chase account? Do they normally do a switching offer? I feel like opening a second current account is a much better way than opening a totally new bank account somewhere else. Also, how many current accounts can you make in Chase? Thanks!1 -
I had that! My ID was successfully uploaded & passed the online checks, but they wanna manually double check the ID to be sure! & will let you know within 2 days!anoukis said:Hi, I've opened a Natwest account online and they sent me a sort code, acct number, and customer number via SMS, but they also sent me the email below. What does this mean - do they do extra credit checks or verify the application manually? I've already passed the ID verification online (passport + selfie). Thanks. We're getting your account readyWe've got good news. Your SELECT account will be available very soon. Thanks for opening an account with us, we can’t wait to have you onboard. We just need to run a few checks and you’ll be good to go. Update: Since the time I last wrote, I have received confirmation from NatWest that my Switch from Metro Bank will complete on the 26th and that my switch from Coop Bank to RBS will complete on the 27th! On this basis, and given that I've never received switch bonuses from NW / RBS, I'll wait until the 27th and then transfer £1,250 into each account. It's not possible to know for certain, however I strongly believe I will be eligible for both bonuses according to the terms of the respective offers. I decided against going for an Ulster Bank account, both because I had run out of burner accounts and also because all this switching is becoming somewhat ridiculous

Can you explain which terms make you think this?Dominic_Blake1 said:I strongly believe I will be eligible for both bonuses according to the terms of the respective offers.1 -
These terms:danny13579 said:

'You won’t be eligible to earn £200 if you’ve taken advantage of a cash switcher offer from NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland plc or Ulster Bank since 1 January 2020.'
I have not taken advantage of any of those cash switcher offers previously, not have I ever held an account with those banks. My suspicion that I will qualify for both the NatWest and RBS switch payments is solidified further by the knowledge that several people successfully claimed all three offers when the banks previously ran their switch incentives.
I can't be sure of this, it might well be that I am wrong. If I am wrong, it will still be ok, I'll at least get one of the bonuses, even if not both of them. However, I think there is an above average chance I'll receive both of them
