I just checked the T&Cs on Natwest and Ulster bank, and there is no mention of April 2nd.
I wonder if MSE have been given the heads up for their publications.

Hopefully i will be able to request switch in time, as waiting on the account to be opened (applied on sunday without requesting a switch yet).  I had a text with the account number from Natwest today and stating they will email when the account is open, so hopefully once get that i can apply for online banking and then put the request in for a switch.   (the latest email had, also from today states that they are getting the account ready and will be open soon, but need to run a few checks???)

Strangely the text message  states a customer number but the digits at the end that should follow the date of birth are all zeros so either that is an error, or there is all zeros after the date of birth, if its an error, hopefully that won't slow things down.
I've been waiting for two weeks for Ulster to get in touch about opening my account, I applied on the 12th and did the Hooyu thing on the 13th, and since then I've heard nothing. Many people have said it takes them longer to do things but I didn't think they would be this slow! Fingers crossed for us both!
I don't know if anyone else is in the same position but I'll share just in case...

After two weeks of silence, I spoke to Ulster thorugh live chat last night, they told me that the selfie i sent with Hooyu wasn't good enough and so they couldn't proceed with my application. I had the same problem when applying to Natwest but NW told me about this via email and rejected my application (I applied again with NW and it workied the second time). However, Ulster did not tell me about this and as many people in here said that Ulster take longer to do thigs I thought it was normal. Thankfully I contacted them. I was told that my application was still open though (unlike NW who rejected me), and I could finish applying and confirming my identity with help form the paper documents they sent me (which again seems like many people here received but could disregard becaue Hooyu worked). As I'm not anywhere near Belfast, and as I was not going to post them my ID, they advised that I could go to a NW or RBS branch and present the paper documents and my ID in person. There is a NW branch near me and I've just got back from having the paper forms and my ID scanned and that should hopefully mean an account will be opened (and I also chose to switch so that has been applied before before 2nd April).

It's been a faff but hopefully that's it now, and once this UB account it open I can complete the cash despoits and reclaim the incentives. The woman in NW did actually say that the Hooyu system has good and bad days and that many people have problems with it, so if anyone is still waiting on UB for and update, maybe get in touch with their live chat and ask for an update.
I've today had a text from Ulster asking me to go to their site, chat with the Cora help bot and quote "Provide information about my application" along with a reference number. I've tried going through this but it's currently out of hours for connecting to a human agent.

Has anyone else had this on their Ulster application and if so, what is it about? Ulster are really starting to pee me off now...!
I had this when they didn't like the initial set of certified ID documents I had to post to them. Was fairly straightforward to chat with them and find out the issue, just annoyed at the extra work I ended up having to do. I'd try getting touch at a different time and see what the issue is before jumping to conclusions.

How long do Ulster take sending activation codes? I got an email with my customer number, and it said they would send an activation code within 48 hours of they have my number (they do). If they don't it said I would get a letter within 10 days! I got a letter with the card they sent me, but no activation code. Also they sent me a form to fill out for US if I haven't already done it online. What is the point when I have? I presume I can ignore that, and my switch now completes on 8th April. However, I still need their daft activation code.
When did you get the email with your customer number?

I got mine on a Saturday and didn’t get the text message with the activation code until Tuesday. This was back in March.
I got the email at 8.30 Friday morning. It's not even like you get the full account number when they send you the card either. You just get the last few numbers and it doesn't show on the card. So there is no way to register for online banking to create a user id and password for the app. So you are stuck without the activation code lol.
From memory, I got my customer ID by email and got my account details + debit card in a letter. With those details I was able to start the online banking registration process, and got send a SMS partway through, allowing me to get everything set up. I did online banking first though, then registered the app.

Did anyone get confirmation about the switch being in progress? My Natwest account has been opened, but I've not heard anything about the switch. Started on 28th March. Thanks :)
This is fairly standard from what I read. First I heard that my switch was underway was when my donor bank told me they were getting ready to close my account.

Same. Not sure now whether the switch is underway or indeed before the offer cutoff. Guess I'll have to call to find out.

I opened an RBS account on 30th March and passed the ID check. But no communication since and account doesnt show online, when I log in. Anyone else had a delay like this? (I know its been pulled from the site but I did apply before the cut off..!)

I paid my money in last Thursday and took our Friday (NW) and then Friday / Saturday (RBS). Based on others experiences when should the bonuses land?

My Natwest switch completed today, and I've paid in the 1250 and used the app so just gotta cross fingers and wait now.  Already had the RBS cash so cant complain if the £200 doesnt come.  I am cautiously optimistic though, we will see.

Also mid Ulster switch.  Definitely slower than other two but progressing fine.  Fingers crossed for that one also.

I am in the same situation and my switch is also for the 8th.

I contacted customer services twice today (Tuesday) The first advisor said I could request the activation code via the app (that was incorrect information). I did query his advice and should have tried while he was still on the line.

The second advisor said that despite them having my phone number, as per the details in the email, that I could only get the activation code via a letter as I was a new customer. He said it takes two to three working days. I asked him to check if it had been sent - he checked and said it had been sent today. That seems a coincidence.

However, he did give me my account details which have not yet been sent. I've had my debit card, which doesn't show the account details, and the pin for the card.

Well, after all that I was told yesterday, my activation code arrived by text this morning. I am now online.
