Moved my £1250 into my Ulster account on Wednesday. Expecting/hoping the £200 to land today or tomorrow, due to the bank holidays and weekend.
Just got the £200. Text message to confirm

Is there a certain time the different branches tend to pay their bonuses?
  • Is it too late to open and account and start the switch today?  The deal and bonus is still showing on the websites of the banks.  So if I start today will it be okay?  I need to do Ulster and know they are slower to do security checks etc and it might well be after 2nd April by the time I do that.  Thanks.

    Also curious about this..

Also, is it necessary to have direct debits set up on the account that I'm switching to be eligible?

Way I see it, the offer has no publicly published end date and they are still advertising the offer on their website. If you apply under the current terms of the offer, which currently are live, then I would expect them to honour it.

No Direct Debits or Standing Orders required for these switches.

Doubt this is applied at branch level.

I meant the different entities i.e. do NW pay them out generally at a certain time of day, same for RBS and Ulster

Mine were between 10am and 1pm (ish) NW earliest in the day, RBS around 12 and Ulster the 1pm one
