I have requested a switch to my Ulster and Nat West currents (already in existence) from 2 Chase currents I opened specifically for this.

Recieved a text from both banks asking me to go to Cora Web chat as they needed more info. I did the Ulster one yesterday and all they wanted was the same info I had given on the original application????

I am a little unsure about the Chase current. They are asking for the debit card number. I wasn't intending giving that as I don't want my main Chase account switched/closed. Any experience on this?
Just provide the details of your second/burner Chase current account and select ‘no debit card’ option when signing up for the switch.

To be sure, check your main Chase account is the ‘Spending from’ account.
Yes - did all that on my original application but for some reason Chase contacted me again via SMS -asked me to go to web chat where they asked for all the details again - inc. the debit card number. don't understand why but concerned they may not process it if I don't give them that info.
  • Never done a switch before, and did the NatWest one last night. Am I needlessly worrying if I’m concerned about legal implications of doing the triple?

On the one hand, as others have said, you’re not ticking a box to say you are eligible to the offer, you’re completing a switch, which can be done at any time. It’s not my fault if they give me money when they aren’t supposed to.

On the other hand, I can’t really plead ignorance, as that is the sole reason why I am completing three switches. Especially not now now I’ve posted here!

What’s the worst that can happen? They ask for the money back? I get banned from NWG? Death penalty?

I think a lot of people on here would be posting from prison if there was anything to worry about. I and many others have tried it on without any repercussions. We are in the grand scheme of things small fry to these organisations. Enjoy your little win.

    Cheers

All it’s doing for me is knocking my credit score down a little due to opening to many accounts in a short space of time and the hard searches

The government bailed out RBS/NatWest after the great financial crisis of 2009, with taxpayer money.

All you are doing is getting back some of your own money.

Tbf I was less than 10 years old at that point, so not sure I can use that argument 😆

Hi how long does it take for Ulster to pay out please? My switch completed last week and I paid the money in for over 24hours between Friday and Saturday?
    Thanks

A few days. I'd set my expectation at next Monday (which would be in line with the expectation the terms set) and then be happy when it arrives sooner.
