NatWest/RBS/Ulster £200 Switching Offer 15/2/2024-2/4/2024

The terms of the offer say pay in after switching so I don't see any reason it would be beneficial to pay it in early - it would take you seconds to pay in while you are away if you have even basic internet access on the apps. You have 60 days regardless so paying in when you are back is also viableanna42hmr said:I now have a switch date from Natwest, its completing on 9th (next tuesday) will the £1250 payment in work for the Incentive if i pay it in now rather than after switch has finalised?
I'm away next week so would rather send the money in now rather than when i am away? if not i can do it on my return.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I have completed a Switch from Chase to a Current account I already had with Ulster. Do I still need to fund the account with £1250 even though it was an account already in use?1

I thought that, but a poster a few pages back said the deposit window commenced as soon as the switch process starts.Nasqueron said:

I can confirm that my switch completed yesterday and despite not paying anything in after completion I received the £200 today.
My company pension went in on 28th but did not all stay in 24 hours. My State pension went in yesterday before the switch completed.
If I include the amount from both pensions that remained there for 24 hours this did exceed £1,250.1 -

And Ulster went in today so that's all three! I mentioned in a different post that Ulster processed the deposits and withdrawals I put in over the bank holidays weekend all on one day. I thought this might have affected things and made those deposits not count since they show as not being in for 24 hours, but I still got the bonus anyway.GreenScepter said:
Update: I've now got the RBS bonus as well as the NatWest. Just need to wait for Ulster now, but overall it was pretty straight forward.GreenScepter said:After seeing everyone's success I think I will attempt to go for the triple bonus. Originally I only intended to get the NatWest. The switch to them has been completed but I haven't put in enough money yet for the bonus so *technically* I'm still within the rules for getting a bonus at any of the banks, and hopefully all 3 if lucky. Trouble is I'm short on money so I can't satisfy the switch conditions at all 3 banks at the same time, so there'll be a few days for the system to potentially catch me out. We shall see.
Side note: I don't know why they even put in their terms about only getting a bonus at one of the three banks if they're not even checking.0 -
Sure but there isn't really anything to be gained by ignoring the terms of the switch and paying early and then waiting for enough time to pass and taking it out, then finding out your situation is different to OP and they have to do it again. As people have seen with the co-op switch, assuming they can switch away again and still qualify for a reward doesn't mean much when co-op won't pay out and then you have to argue with them about itRG2015 said:

Wish I'd looked at this sooner I've never had a switching bonus from any of the three but did RBS last week and moved the £1250 in yesterday so just waiting for their bonus. Am I able to simply move from RBS then NatWest followed by Ulster and get all 3 bonus or would I need two burner accounts to get the other two or is it too late at this point0
