NatWest/RBS/Ulster £200 Switching Offer 15/2/2024-2/4/2024

It’s just ‘standard’ wording used for that particular text message. Got the same with NW, RBS and Ulster for all my switches even though no DDs were on the donor accounts.Barkin said:
My switch completed today. I got a text from Natwest that included:bioboybill said:The money from her TSB account went over to NatWest yesterday afternoon, but the DDs haven't gone over yet.

Your Direct Debit payments will be visible after the first payment has taken.

I'll never know whether that's in fact the case, as I didn't switch any DD's.0 -
It was a notification from the MSE app for iOS. The name of the bank that pulled the offer was not in the notification and upon clicking it I just got the main view of the MSE page on the app. I cannot find the name of the bank that pulled the offer anywhere, but I am 100% sure that is what the notification said.paddyposh said:
Where did you see this/what on?amsterdamgroove said:
The switch forms do not seem to be working at the moment. Hopefully it'll be back on the 31st .ericthesanddune said:Apparently Nat West/RBS are doing maintenance til 31st March so someone I know is unable to switch til it’s back up and running
I just received a notification on my phone that one of the £200 bonus banks pulled the offer already, but sadly the MSE app does not mention which one.0 -
I have a linked savings account but that's to my original current account. the donor accounts are empty, not linked to anything, never been used. Will that be OK?PRAISETHESUN said:
CASS switching always involves closing your donor current account. For Chase you need to open a second current account and switch that - as long as you always keep at least one account open then you won't have issues with Chase preventing you from opening new accounts in future.VXman said:
Can you explain this more fully? I opened an additional Chase current to use as a switch doner account. I don't want to close my other chase current account/saver. Is this not possible?rawy said:My switch had to be restarted due to Chase being awkward & not being clear that Savings Accounts needs to be closed before any switch, so its going to switch on 4th April now
A few people reported however that Chase are awkward when you have a linked savings account - even if you have multiple current accounts, attempting to switch it may fail if the you don't close the savings account first.0 -
I know that, but it may be relevant for the poster above who said that they couldn't see their DD's.Marcoos said:

I selected no debit card as i was concerned the debit card would link to my original Chase current account which I don't want to loose. Not completed the switch yet so don't know if it is going to work.JAV39 said:Morning all, was trying for the triple crown and when putting in a switch from Chase to Bank of Ulster it gets to the bank details to switch and keeps saying bank card details are incorrect/not in date....which is strange as has worked perfectly fine on the other 2? (it is an extra account made not the main one) any ideas??0 -
bioboybill said:My wife's switch to NatWest due on 26th still hasn't completed. The money from her TSB account went over to NatWest yesterday afternoon, but the DDs haven't gone over yet. When the money went over TSB sent my wife a notification that she had set up a new payee, so for a minute she thought her account had been hacked! Weird way of doing things.
Same issue here with my wife and I. Never known a switch to go so wrong at this stage and Natwest aren't communicating about what's happening. It's a poor show.

The offer that's been pulled is the HSBC Advance account offer.amsterdamgroove said:It was a notification from the MSE app for iOS. That's down to TSB, not Natwest.bioboybill said:When the money went over TSB sent my wife a notification that she had set up a new payee, so for a minute she thought her account had been hacked! Weird way of doing things.
I got no such notification for my (not TSB) switch.0 -
That one has gone from the MSE article. The others are still there at the moment.danny13579 said:

As my NatWest switch is currently stalled (I gave them a joint account thinking it was a sole account, and the process to add a second person to my account isn't working) I was hoping to try another switch in, when my metro card arrives. I might miss the boat though.1 -
I just switched an Halifax current account but there's one of those Regular Saver savings accounts still associated to it (12 months of fixed rate/ £250 max deposit per month). Did anyone have their switch cancelled because of this?0
