That is beautiful Redo.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hello. Just checking in with love and to hope today was one of the better days recently xxx4

Thank you all.
This is turning out to be a rather annoying cold, now at the racking cough stage. Luckily I ordered a large supply of tissues when I saw the progress it was having with the one who brought it into the house.
Very inconvenient when we have a skip to fill. It is due to be collected next Friday so I have plenty of time yet, and of course plenty of things I could fill it with but I want to do it mindfully as I hate things going to landfill. I know that the skip company I use do actively recycle the contents at least.
I did make it outside - to feed the birds and defrost the birdbath. The stuff in the feeders was frozen too. Poor birds, no water sources and a lot of the food is frozen. And as I typed that 'my' flock appeared and the honeysuckle feeders are covered. The Robin has his beady eye on me.
I have a windows quote in, and it is better than I expected. The Conservation officer has confirmed that I don't need planning permission, and that what I want to do is acceptable so the only thing really stopping me is the mess inside the house. They need to be able to get the windows in each room, but there would be a few weeks lead time once I have committed to the order. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Birds fed, and I remembered to order some more sunflower hearts. No sign of Robin Redo yet but the sun is shining and I am sure he will be along shortly. All five cats snoring in patches of sunshine. Fluff was snoring in the greenhouse - very toasty indeed.
Lots of clearing progress yesterday. I keep telling myself it took years to get like this, and it needs slow and steady.
The Robin has appeared and has his beady eye on me. I had better get on then...

Loving the idea of a Robin Redo 😊❤️
Chloe-cat has been using laps quite a bit this morning. 🤩 I think she must need / appreciate them as she always seems to have chilly toe-beans when she first gets on 😉😊
Don’t be too hard on yourself about the house. It’s a big job and you have already made solid progress. Also, I always find jobs like that need a lot of ‘thinking about’ to work out the logistics of unpicking, moving, arranging new storage, making decisions about etc. etc. That gets pretty tiring.Enjoy the sunshine 😊

A bit of a wasted day so far today, a few hours spent on something for my old employer which had to be done as part of the terms of my leaving agreement. Fine with doing it but it does reinforce that I really don't want to go back at the moment, so frugal living it is. In-between finishing the house obviously, but there is a savings pot for that.
The next time waster was noticing the absence of the Paperbag Princess and Tiny Tabby refusing to leave me alone. Followed Tiny outside who took me to the very tall Conifer where PP was wailing 20 foot up in a suitably heart broken fashion. I left her for half an hour to see if she would work it out. Fetched a ladder and tried (and of course I am allergic to conifer and heights) but she was still a good six foot above me. Went back in and waited, when I went back she had got within reach of the ladder and she let me carry her down. Silly cat. All the while with Tiny running up and down the tree to show her how silly she was being. I have left the ladder flat up there because I bet she does it again tomorrow.
I blame the Robin, she probably followed him up there.
I did have a look round the garden while I was outside and identified some more things for the skip so it wasn't a total waste. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Wow! Heroic Redo! 👏 And how sweet of Tiny Tabby to come and find you and run up and down the tree to show how it should be done! 😂😉
It definitely wasn’t a total waste - that counts as exercise surely! 😉😂😂
