I had a lovely day yesterday. I went out with some people from the singing group. One lady is one of life’s characters and is up for organising things. So 4 of us met at the train station and got on the train to a seaside place just over an hour away. I renewed my train pass so saved 1/3. We went to a new museum which has opened called Showtime. We had such a laugh. The weather forecast had been awful but we actually sat by the sea in the sunshine at one point. We had a granny special 😂😂 fish and chips and then headed home on the train. It  was something totally different. I spent just short of £40 -which included travel, museum admission and food which wasn’t at all bad for the day I had. I won’t be doing it every week though. I did enjoy the museum but I think the company made it more fun than had I just headed there with Dh.
My fridge freezer was due to arrive between 7am and 7 pm today. It arrived at 7.15 this morning. They unpacked it and had it installed very quickly whilst I was still getting up, so Dh saw to it all. As they were putting it in place they tore the lino. The delivery man was very apologetic and immediately took photos and sent them to head office. He told Dh to ring head office after 8.30…..which he did. They’re getting back to us about it. I couldn’t fault the delivery though as they unpacked, installed and took the packaging…we did pay extra though. It looks much bigger than it did in the shop 😳 Dh wanted a black one to match the cooker so it’s a big black beast of a fridge. I’ll get used to it and it should give us more freezer space. I’ll retrieve my food from Dh’s freezer and do some shopping and cooking over the weekend.
There have been more confused phone calls from a relative….its all rather worrying.
I’ve got nothing planned tomorrow which I’m very thankful for as life has been mad since we came home from holiday.

The fridge freezer is growing on me. It seemed big and black and totally overpowered the kitchen when we first got it. It is so tall I can’t reach the top shelf 😂😂😂 I’ll have to put the high calorie treats there. I went to c@stc@ and stocked up on meat and then to Asd@ for frozen veg and anything else I needed. I probably didn’t need 66 bags of crisps that Dh deemed a ‘bargain’ 😂😂😂😂 but they were a lot cheaper in c@stc@ than the shops and as long as I limit myself to a couple of bags a week all should be good 👍. So it’s been a very expensive weekend. I will however save a lot in shopping in the long run with the bulk buying.
I went out for a walk with a couple of ladies I used to work with yesterday and we had lunch at a cafe in the park which is staffed by people with additional needs. We expected to see some of our old pupils but we didn’t. I was however very pleased that somebody from the youth group I volunteered at recognised me and was very enthusiastic in  telling me about his latest venture in the cafe - he is so proud 😀 it’s an amazing little cafe - nothing fancy but everything was hot and tasty. So today is a chill day with a little bit of tidying before I meet another friend tomorrow.
I haven’t been sleeping great recently  as I’ve had something on my mind but I made a phone call yesterday and have slept like a log last night. Hopefully the phone call should set things in motion to sort things…
I have no plans for yet for the rest of the week - just let it unfold.

I love a bit of bulk buying. There is something so satisfying about having 66 bags of crisps in stock 😁

I went to a local NT place today with a friend. We had a good catch up, a walk around the place and had lunch before coming back for a cuppa. A lovely day.
Ive been knitting a jumper on and off since I came out of hospital in 2000. It just hasn’t been doing it for me. The wool knits up very nicely but I’m not convinced it’s a pattern I’d actually wear and I think it takes me back to when I was so poorly, so it keeps getting put on the back burner whilst I’ve got on with other projects. Last week I decided to undo the back and knit a cardigan pattern I’d recently finished. I wanted to finish the sleeves first and had very nearly completed THEN earlier this evening I measured them and blow me - there’s about an inch difference in the width, so I’ve undone  the whole lot and have started crocheting a baby blanket with the wool rather than waste it and having it hanging around taunting me. Not sure what I’ve done, nor why I start big knitting projects as I much prefer crochet. Since I don’t know anyone expecting I’ll probably take it to the hospital for the shop they have when I go in August. If it wasn’t for the hospital sorting my arm I wouldn’t be doing crafts so a little bit of pay back. I want to crochet my gks a throw each  but I’ll be  following a pattern which ds is printing for me. It’ll be a bit of a challenge as there are a lot of stitches new to me but there are tutorials to follow. I’ll do this simple blanket in between and when I go to the knit and natters or should that be natter and crochets……the nattering accounting for the difference of width in my knitted sleeves 😏😂
Tomorrow I will check my finances and pay my cc in full again as I’ve been flexing my flexible friend recently. I shouldn’t need to spend much over the next couple of weeks as I’m fully stocked up.

Not sure where time is going.
I visited a friend on Friday. I made an afternoon tea to take to her as a belated birthday treat, we had a lovely afternoon. It’s a bit tricky for her to get out atm as she is caring for a relative.
I went with ds and Dh to a place I’ve been meaning to visit for a long time in the county on the opposite side of the Pennines to me on Saturday. It exceeded my expectations 😁 We spent longer than we planned there. Then had a Chinese at ds house.
I ended up nipping to the shops  with Dh in tow on Sunday…..reminder to self…..leave him at home next time 😂😂😂😂 ended up with all sorts in the basket. I only needed bread and a couple of other things…..£42 later.
Today I’ve been at the hospital for blood tests before a treatment on Wednesday. 3 nurses and 4 attempts later they got the vials they needed. I wish they’d listen when I say I don’t like parting with it and it usually needs a butterfly. Anyway it’s done now.
I came home full of good intentions. I put tv on to watch catch up Corrie whilst I had my dinner and a cuppa. I saw about 10 minutes and woke up to a cold cuppa and it had finished. My busy days must have caught up with me. I can’t remember the last time I nodded off in the daytime, and I’ve generally been sleeping ok. I did tidy around  downstairs but didn’t venture upstairs - I could happily nod off right now.
No plans for tomorrow other than give upstairs a quick once over. It’s not bad but I want to keep on top of it. I’ll nip to a knit and natter for an hour tomorrow evening. It seems like a while since I’ve had a relatively free day and I’m looking forward to it.

I’ve fallen asleep mid way through a cup of coffee before 🤣

Hope you get your relativity clear day tomorrow, sounds like it’s much needed.
