Weather is shocking here so I’ve been doing some more decluttering and as I’m doing it I’m seeing more things that need to be sorted.
45) wheelchair cushion-binned
46-56) craft magazines x 11 into recycling. Held onto them for years thinking I would use them and haven't
57-62) items x 6 into the rag bag
Another 20 neutral items parcelled up for organiser in an attempt to keep items I have tidier. Hopefully will be sent tomorrow if the weather settles
Neutral items sent=130

@nannywindow the biggest cwtches to you. Hope you get answers quickly and a treatment plan. Everything crossed for you.
Only thing decluutered today is over 50% of the ironing pile and cottage pie for tea. Got a walk in too before the rain and wind set in.
I need to get back on the Decluttering journey, house has stuff everywhere 😩, my excuse not enough storage bit might just have too much stuff, especially clothes! My floordrobe is very impressive. As if a double wardrobe, 6 drawers, 2 underbed drawers, a tallboy, plus overflow chest of drawers and wardrobe isn't enough space. Plus clothes hung on the door. 😯 and yes my wardrobe spans a couple sizes!
Not going to stress off to watch call the midwife, do my knitting and enjoy a beverage. Hope everyone stays safe, warm and dry with this storm.

The wardrobe/s seem like narnia level of space and tat to declutter, it goes on and on! Still more to do but I’m trucking on when I get chance. The airing cupboard/bathoom cupboards will then be up. Wardrobe/s taking me an age! I’ve also realised I am doing a bit of your @Mrs_Salad_Dodger inspired deal with it/put it away/sort it with things. My post pile I cleared in the kitchen is still non existent as I’m sorting it as it comes. Every morning I wake up and am pleasantly surprised there are not piles of ‘stuff’ on the kitchen worktops. It really makes a difference. Waking up already feeling a bit in control. The bedroom after wardrobes vs woman is getting there too. I found a lovely top I forgot I had and I can just reach in and get my clothes instead of playing wardrobe jenga everyday. I’m now into little and often territory, but also maintaining. 💪🏼Emergency Fund: 1000/2000April Grocery Challenge: 150/550

Hi all:-)Great work with all the decluttering:-) I've mainly had a day off today with the exception of collecting up any rubbish, empying the rubbish bins, and putting things in their correct place.I'm hoping to begin tackling one of the spare bedrooms tomorrow as I have a large bookacse in one and yes, it's full of books and goodness knows what else I decided to store in and on it! :. I can see a nice collection of books for the charity shop and throwing junk away. I'm also expecting to find some unused gifts mainly smellies which I can't use, so I shall be recycling those for Christmas 2024 - you can't miss what you did know you had!I hope everyone continues with their fantastic efforts. It's so nice to see others clearing out and then realising just how much space they have got!~ NSD 2025 - NSD June 26/20 (5 x💯)# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £10,689.40 / £12,000 (89%)# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1230.57 / £1378 (89%)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £965.50 / £2025 (48%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯19

Sending love @nannywindow
Hugs and get wells to all who need them.
I don't know what was wrong with me this week but I haven't been feeling right at all, I've absolutely no energy and cried at everything.
I did get a couple of frogs done, ds college transport chased up, dd3 work experience placement that she wants to go to emailed, and started UC Switch over, need DH to do his bit now.
Christmas decorations have gone, DS1 has replaced some work things so old ones have gone, he put his trousers in the wash with his almost new belt on and snapped the buckle so that was binned too.
I sorted through another box with dd2 on Friday. Another loaf of knitted dolls clothes, now being washed and half a box of barbies.
I'm not sure if I said in my last post but I think I realised the other day why we kept eo much stuff. DGD had a missing dinosaur from a set and it was driving me mad that I couldn't find it, then I realised that's why we probably have half the stuff we do, keeping hold of it until we find the missing pieces, that have probably already gone, missing or when I do find it I can't find the first bit I had!

This weekend's progress:
Yesterday we tackled the computer desk and the adjacent small cupboard that the printer stands on top of. Lots and lots of random cables... all bagged up and given to a younger more tech-savvy relative to identify. One may belong to a camera that needs charging so I can see whether there is anything left on it that I want. Enough stuff was cleared out of the desk drawers to allow me to empty the cupboard contents into them (resources for an ongoing project). I may move the printer to the top of the filing cabinet to deter any paper from landing there and dispose of the cupboard.
The top of the filing cabinet is now clear. I had found some old badges from my childhood in Mum's loft up there and fantasy me was going to make my fortune selling them online. I don't have time to list them, and I don't think there's a huge market for rusty 'I shop at Carpetrite' badges so I sorted out a few that reminded me of childhood holidays and got rid of the rest.
A huge frog that I started at Christmas is finished. The top of the filing cabinet had been covered in a teetering pile of paper about 18 inches high - at least 2 years of paperwork, MOT certificates and P60s mixed in with cross stitch patterns pulled out of magazines. I finished the last of it yesterday (my Mum's financial paperwork as she won't deal with it herself) and I have managed to file items as they have arrived over the past couple of weeks, which I have never done before. I did weed out the contents of the filing cabinet as I went.
What do you do with storage containers that you don't know whether you need? I now have a pile of pretty storage boxes gathering dust in the spare room but am reluctant to dispose of them until I am sure they won't be needed. I have reconsidered the cube unit in there ( it's enormous, 5x5, the largest the Swedish shop do) and would like to replace it with a wardrobe that has shelves in and a set of drawers for craft storage, but I think I will need some of the boxes. I need to find a dark corner to hide them in for now.
Sunday is always busy so we did the dog food/soft drinks cupboard in the kitchen - only 3 bottles of squash in the house for once. I was also persuaded to do the games cupboard. This cupboard also contains candles and, for some unknown reason, 2 powerbanks. I think everyone I know with a birthday in the next few months will be receiving a regifted Yankee candle... The powerbanks have been charged and left out in case of power cuts from the storm.
I hope everyone is keeping safe and dry.17
