I beginning to think these happy hour weekends are a waste of time.
The first one I saved 20p so the next one I organised like a military operation - car on charge, washing machine on, saucepans on hob for Sunday dinner, oven on for roasties and baked potatoes, immersion heater on. Spent the hour at around 12 to 15kw.
Saved a grand total of 40p.
Obvious when you think about it - car charging triggers household at 3.49p/kwh.

1st one. I got 69p, Which was for 30 mins car charging (did not kick in on time) & normal baackground home use.

Originally thought the same as you as my savings were only pennies but then looked at the bigger picture.
- My 3.49p/kWh finishes in a couple of weeks so my savings will increase by roughly 2.5 times.
- It's good to feel productive having put a load of washing on, cooking etc within that hour. For me, it's better to have a set time to cram stuff in to feel productive as I have the tendency to doss around in between jobs and the day goes by with not much done.
- I saved more by staying in instead of going out as we'd typically be out on a Sunday having lunch out etc whereas we get to have Sunday meal at home and we feel more rested to start the week again.
Sometimes it's not about the monetary value that needs to be considered.

All for doing nothing extra ( other than making sure car is charging on the FREE sessions) money for nothing.
