And sorry to hear about mom. Dementia is so dreadful. But hopefully it's only dreadful for you and not for her - I hope you understand what I mean by that. I've known people who became very distraught and angry which is hard to deal with. If it's "merely" a case of being blissfully unaware that doesn't (to me at least) seem nearly as bad for that individual. Do take care of yourself as ongoing resilience will, no doubt, be required. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Thank you @Brie. Yes I am sure my mom is not aware now of what is happening. There have been episodes in the beginning of the illness when she became angry and distraught, but not now., mom is now dependent on two nurses to tend to her needs and to move her into her wheelchair. It is me loosing my mom . We used to have some lovely conversations. My mom turned 90 in June , the party we arranged was more for us to remember the day by and not my mom.
Spending wise yesterday.

One painting in particular was on the wall opposite of where she sat all day, every day. She'd painted this beautiful array of zinnias in a big pot sitting on a chair about 30 years earlier and she kept saying that she really liked it and was pleased how it turned out. The one problem though was that at some point since painting it the pot had fallen off the chair and some of the zinnias didn't get put back in. But she thought it was still nice even if it was different. Completely nonsensical but it makes me smile.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Morning Everyone,
Yesterday I achieved an NSD. Didn't go out and did not do any spending online.
Yesterday's important phone call, has led to me having a refund. So good news for my bank balance.
Today I have a wash to hang out . I must change the bed linen.
And sort out clothes as we are away next week Mon -Fri . Just a short break.
Have a good Friday Everyone.I am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.

I turned 60 in June! I spent it at the Glastonbury festival, I definitely didn't want a party or even a fuss at home. I did wear a birthday girl sash and badge, so many people wished me happy birthday

It wasn't an NSD yesterday as I had pay OH some money towards shopping.
Today I will take two full bags to the charity shop.
Withdraw some money as tomorrow I need to pay for the cat going into the cattery tomorrow.
Then I had better get my suitcase down and pack as we are away from Mon - Friday next week. We are going up north . My dream is to retire and live by the seaside.
Have a good Saturday everyone 😊I am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.
