@Jellybaby - what's your drink of choice?  There are alcohol free equivalents - some are better than others!  I tend to have Gordons 0% gin which is very similar in taste to the real thing unlike the Tanquery which tastes very chemically to me!  Haven't found an alcohol free wine I like yet - they just seem to be very sweet and I really don't like sweet wine.

Well done @MrsPorridge, another great loss and SOTW too.  Using the planner seems to work for you.  I also use it but in addition to writing a meal plan each month - it's nearly time to do November's now so need to get that freezer inventory done!

Well done @MrsPorridge! That's an excellent result. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'm pleased you're finding the app helpful but although SW is organised on a weekly pattern, bodies don't always respond like that. It could be that some of it is weightoss that didn't show up last week catching up or perhaps you forgot something from last week like going off plan for some reason. 🤔

Enjoy your manicure @Coxy11. That's a lovely gift, so much better than stuff.
It's frustrating knowing that your dad could have had his surgery and treatment earlier  but, as you said, they chose to move abroad so have to live with the consequences. Difficult for you though.🤗

🤞🏼 it won't be too bad tomorrow @Jellybaby. You must be so pleased you made the decision to retire at Christmas as work seems to be getting more stressful by the day. At least another week is almost over. I record my alcohol free days each month (using this thread Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread part 18 - Page 300 — MoneySavingExpert Forum) which helps me stay off the booze during the week unless I'm going out somewhere.

I looked at the forecast this morning @joedenise and there are no days in the coming fortnight guaranteed dry all day. What seems to be happening is that rain is forecast but doesn't materialise. This happened on Tuesday when I was out with DD (carried umbrella around all day and didn't use it) and yesterday on my walk (dressed up in wet weather gear but no rain at all). I plan to risk the washing on Sunday but just peg out the larger things. I CBA to take ages hanging out socks and pants and then get soaked rushing to get them back in. ☹

I'm eating up M&S chicken flatties from the freezer today. They've been knocking around for ages and don't appear on the app. I put it through the estimator and they came up as 26.5 syns! Fortunately it was my fault as I'd entered K/J instead of the K/cal. 0.5 syns if far better! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (S)
    L- Spanish omelette (P,F,S), pickles (S)
D- chicken (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips, green stuff, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
Syns- chicken marinade 0.5, weekend wine😁

That made me laugh @maman!  Fancy putting in K/J instead of K/cal!  Shows what a difference it makes!

Hope you enjoy the 0% gin @Jellybaby.  I also drink spiced rum and someone on my SW group Facebook page said that you can now get 0% spiced rum as well so going to look out for that too!  Didn't have it in my local Tesco or Morrisons so probably only the very big stores which we don't have here.  My nearest one is next door to Debbie's in Medway so when we go down there next month for our monthly "free" drink I'll have in that one to see if they have it.  Suspect Amazon do it but don't want to buy it on it's own so if I haven't managed to get a bottle I'll get once from there next time I order something.

Afternoon all.  Glad DH's surgery went well @joedenise, so sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis @bubbs and hope your dad is ok @Coxy11 and that your step-mum doesn't cause you too much stress.

Well done to all the losers this week.

Going to be honest, not really been "on plan" this week so far - just demolished a large bar of galaxy chocolate because I'm a little stressed with work and family stuff.  MiL called last night and told DH that he has to apologise to a whole bunch of people for us going to her wedding.  Apparently there's lots of (jealous because they didn't think of it too) people who are now upset that we didn't invite them out with us (on a trip we already had planned), that would have cost them at least £3000 for a 20 minute ceremony and a meal 🙄😔😞

Anywho after the chocolate, I'm planning on having homity pie with some Linda M sausages for dinner.  It's our wedding anniversary on Sunday so we're out for brunch and then DH's cooking "something" for dinner.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, hoping to be back in a better mood next week.
