So pleased you found the chocolate sauce yesterday @bubbs. 👍

That's devastating for your friend. Life is so cruel sometimes.

Pleased to hear something went right for your DH. 😊 What's next? 🤔

    Morning everyone,

Well done on the 1lb loss @maddiemay - good to hear you feel better x
So sorry about your friend @bubbs - you will be glad to see the back of this year x

Stepmum left a message yesterday that the tumour removed from DDad's bowel is an aggressive cancer. This was the tumour spotted by our guy in August, but DDad insisted on travelling home and it was only removed last week. I have been online and looked at treatment/details and should find out more today about what is available. DDad doesn't know yet so I'm hoping the medics don't let it slip. Stepmum hoping he can come home tomorrow and she will tell him.

We went to the cinema as planned - Killers of the Flower Moon - long and quite violent. I think I only nodded off twice. Have woken up with a headache but think it's dehydration. Currently drinking tea to stave it off! I have this afternoon off and will be having a manicure courtesy of a voucher BIL got me for my birthday. Then off down to Sittingbourne for a fundraiser at my DSis's house.

    Food today:
    B - Scrambled egg, tomatoes, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - Feta, salad leaves, tomato, pickles - HEA, S
    D - mushroom risotto - free
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - brioche - 6

Morning all, I'm getting fed up with all this rain.  I know it's not bad here compared with Scotland and other parts of the North but it's still hor@bubbs

Sorry @maddiemay I forgot to congratulate you on your lb loss.  That was awful about the aneurysm your uncle had - he was very young but glad they managed to sort him out.

Sorry to hear about your friend @bubbs.  Such a cruel disease.  I'm not surprised you cried.  Glad that your DH's laser treatment was successful.

@MrsPorridge - if your husband is over 65 he would have had an AAA scan and if he can't remember having it done I suspect it was Normal so he would only have had the one.  They only recall if it's enlarged at 65 otherwise it's a one off.

@Coxy11 - it's been a long wait for your dad you have the tumour removed.  If only he'd had it done here although that would probably have meant he would have had to stay in the UK much longer.  I would have thought it would be better for Drs to tell him about the cancer rather than stepmum but if that's what she wants to happen that's her choice.  I notice you've put 6 syns for a brioche but I can't see it in your menu plan!  When are you planning on having that?

    Right, today's plan:

B - porridge, grapes - HEB; F (only fruit I've got at the moment which isn't frozen!)
    L - 2 pea soup, slice bread - S; F; 3.5
D - Fakeaway KFC, corn on the cob, baked beans, SW chips - P; F; 4.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - slice bread 3.5; 25g instant mash powder 4.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, hugs to everyone. Life can be a real pain in the backside at times.

I'm hanging on to the wagon by my pinky this week!  Meals have been fine it's the nibbling and alcohol at night that's going to give me the very likely gain at WI tomorrow.  I need to find ways to stay SW focussed when I'm stressed. I also need to stop thinking once I finish up work it will all be fine as that's only a delay tactic!

    Today's food:
    B - toast (HEB), marmalade 4 syns
    L - veggie omelette, pickles
    D - chilli with rice

    Hugs to everyone.

Lost 3.5lbs today, no one more surprised than me.  I got my half stone certificate and also slimmer of the week - I am thrilled.

the only thing I have really changed is that I am using the app to do my planning rather than writing stuff down, so I guess its working.

    Today
    B banana at group
L overnight oats (that I forgot to take with me) (HEB)
D Sausage casserole with tomatoes and peppers (1 syn) plus sprouts, courgette and carrot and swede mash

Going to the pub later and I'll have my new drink of gin and slim (3 syns but I may have 2) so I'll count it as 6 syns
Snacks Tunnocks teacake (5 syns), FF yoghurt and berries and some oranges.
Debt free and Keeping on Track
