  • Longwalker that's amazing and you made your wee trip away come to life for us.

After your encouragement ladies I've had a good day thankfully. After parkrun I had a bowl of berries, banana and yoghurt.
Lunch was sticky lime mango chicken in the airfryer with rice and salad. I made tzatziki and that really helped.  Even my 16 yr old fussy eater ate it all.

Just had my tea of a bread roll with turkey slices and a light cheese triangle and salad (great tip about the cheese triangles btw).

Nicely full right now and bought a melon so will cut that up to nibble on/scoff this evening.

  • Well done @Bubbs and @Jellybean on the losses

Its easy put on, hard to get off for sure

Im glad you enjoyed my potted version of the trip, I think its going to be the last for a while. I came in and the house stank, the kitchen was a mess, and I left it spotless

Mum is not coping, be it age or just shear laziness, I dont know but Ive not stopped since I walked in the door yesterday at 1;30, and today I felt so ill, I had to take an hour on the sofa.

So busy I didnt get to eat today till 3pm which really was the factor in me feeling so ill so whilst I tried to be good, I also ended up shoving a chocolate bar - a viscount - in me

Still I had a healthy filling supper and the rest of the week is kind of planned

I need some sleep ( I didnt sleep well when away ) and I need routine and the foods Im used to eating now. I didnt go to the loo for 3 days ( TMI but its not helped me at all ). Im off tomorrow, helping out for the halloween holidays at the farm Monday and Tuesday and back to work Wednesday to Saturday so I should feel normal again mid weekish :)

Watching the rugby and fighting back sleeping as Ive a lot to do yet. But hopefully tomorrow is going to be pretty laid back, the house is clean, holiday washing done, nothing pressing, just the dinner to prep and cook and the ironing can wait

Morning all, did anyone actually get an extra hour in bed?  I know we didn't!  Up about 6 instead of the usual 7!  Suspect it will be an earlier night tonight to try to get back on track a bit!  Probably take a few days.

Thanks for the heads up on the Nectar prices for pork and beef - I need both for my menu plan this month.  Will just need to check how much room I have in the freezer to see if I can get both in them - suspect the answer's no but will see how much room there is before I go shopping later in the week.  Any idea how long these offers are on for?  If it's more than a week I can probably manage by putting one in the fridge and one in the freezer.  Will just mean reorganising my menu plan!  DH already moans about the "Indians" on the plan (all the arrows moving meals around!) but as this will mean lots of moving around I'll just redo it on the laptop and print out again!

DH's bruising has spread a long way round his body but at least it seems to have stopped spreading now (I marked how far it had gone yesterday morning so I could check).  He's still having a bit of a problem with bending as it still hurts because of it but other than that he seems OK.

Decided to do a load of washing this morning as it's looking quite sunny and the forecast for rain is a couple of hours off but only 20% chance so even it it's only out there for that long it will at least be a bit drier to put on the airer which can only be a good thing.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
    L - jacket potato, tuna mayo, pickles - P; S; F; 1
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, peppers and onions, green beans, peas - P; S; F
    S - Crispbreads & cheese if I fancy them this evening - HEA2; HEB

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese?
    HEB - crisp breads?
    Syns - sausages 2; LTL mayo 1

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Glad to hear DH is on the road to recovery @joedenise   Bruising always worse as we get older. Mr L got caught in a sanding belt the other week, caught his trousers and it pulled him in. Now there was no serious injury, bit of a burn type graze, but his leg was black and blue all over , looked awful

And the same as you, got to sleep around 2, wide awake at 6 and finally gave up and got up shortly before 7 , itchy mozzie bites are not helping with the sleep

Going to cook a gammon for dinner today with roasted butternut squash and potatoes ( read air fry ) cabbage , carrot and parsnip mash and peas.  Ill make an onion sauce for the others, Im not fussed, Ill eat a dry dinner.

Struggled somewhat last night, ended up raiding the bread bin - white slice with butter and marmite. Wasnt the best choice in the world but seeing at there was a box of chocolate eclairs and a chocolate dessert in the fridge, I thought I was pretty restrained

    See how I go today

Have a good day everyone xx
