  • @Coxy11 - ((((((((((HUGE HUGS ))))))))))), When things are so unsettled you do need to take care of yourself.

I loved Soul ll Soul , have a great time

Falling is my fear. Last time I fell - in work - I was out of action for months - as well as out of work!! I too walk stooped - looking at the ground constantly

I just realised I cant stay for meeting next week, I start work at 10 that day the opposite side of the county.

Morning all, not feeling too happy at the moment!  Had to drive to Sittingbourne to take DH for a blood test - we left here at 7.20 to get there for 8.00am when they open.  Usually takes about 30 minutes, not today - didn't get there until 8.50 - an hour and half to go about 15 miles, it's ridiculous and DH isn't a good passenger and he wonders why I hate driving so much!

So not long had breakfast - I've ended up swapping breakfast and lunch as it would probably have been nearer 11 otherwise for breakfast!

Got another machine load of washing on which I'll hang out on the line for a few hours - it's not forecast to rain until about 3pm so plenty of time to at least get the worst of the water out before putting on the airer overnight.

    Today's plan:

B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions, HM tomato and chilli jam - HEA2; HEB; S
    L - kedgeree - P; S; F
D - lamb and butterbean tagine, couscous (using up LO lamb from yesterday) - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but who know what will happen later!

I didn't have HEA2 or HEB yesterday after all, just had some fruit and yoghurt in the evening.

You're doing the right thing to be kind to yourself @Coxy11.🤗

I was reading this morning how jobs are increasingly being advertised without the salary being mentioned. I do hope you are able to negotiate a better deal. You really don't need that worry on top of your dad's issues. I agree with your philosophy of staying in control. It's so tempting to go in for comfort eating/drinking when under stress but I find I just feel worse afterwards. It's odd but I can enjoy extra syns when I've planned them, like going out for dinner, but I don't get pleasure from s*d it days.

I'm hoping to be in range at the end of next month (next essential WI day) so that I can enjoy all Christmas festivities planned and have a month after to rein back. That's the plan but it's not going to be easy as we've a few thing on during November.

It's been dry and bright here all morning too @joedenise but I really didn't have enough light stuff to make up a machine load. All the dark things got washed and dried yesterday, albeit indoors. I love driving but I'm the world's worst passenger. I rarely drive DH anywhere though as, although he doesn't criticise as such, he annoys me by fiddling with the radio or the sat nav or 'helpfully' telling me which lane to take or whatever.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), possible potato (F)
D- baked cod (P), roast potato cubes, mushy peas (F), spicy cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns- 0

I don't have any choice about driving DH around at the moment!  He's just not allowed to drive yet.  They've said he can drive 2 weeks after the op so only another week to go and I'll be keeping trips to a minimum!!!  I don't mind driving into town to do the shopping as that's only a 15 mile round trip.  I need to go tomorrow as I've got a waxing appointment at 9am so I'll do a bit of shopping while I'm in town.  DH (hopefully) will stay at home!

The weather forecast was wrong!  It started raining about 12.15pm so I had to run out and get it all in and put it on the airer so it's just as wet now as it was when I hung it out!  Might just as well of hung it on the airer in the first place!

You seem to have lost a meal somewhere @MrsPorridge? Or was it a late breakfast/brunch? 🤔🤣

@Longwalker the wedding and your visit to Italy sounds wonderful.

@beanielou so sorry about your fall, one or two of my most spectacular ones have been from wet leaves.

Well done with the losses @Jellybaby and @bubbs

@Coxy11 take care of you, so much on your plate presently

@joedenise what an awful journey, I can imagine your stress levels.

@maman I hope that you can stay in range at WI to take the pressure off the Christmas celebrations.

OH and I are still not recovered, tired and still throaty and a cough (better, but not better enough IYSWIM. Sunny here this morning so managed some leaf clearing and tidying ready for the green bin collection tomorrow.

In terms of SW not back on plan, not eating well, but not gaining, all a bit hit and miss as we just do not seem to be fancying the conventional food, but getting some speed fruit and veg, eggs soup etc, so am sure we will survive.

    Take care all.
