  • @NornIronRose - have faith, some of my worse weeks in terms of sticking to plan have given me some of my biggest losses, or at least STS. Stick with the plan as best you can and you will see the results. My journey has been 1/2 a pound here, a pound there, never have I had a big loss, but I want the weight gone and its going so I keep at it

Im in the other camp with driving ladies, I prefer to be the driver. I prefer my car for a start, Mr L has a coupe and believe me, its not easy in and out of lol. Sure its a bit easier now Im not having to lift a huge bulk out but still not easy or elegant :)  Mind it was my first dark drive of the year yesterday ( last winter I was injured from the fall and couldn't drive ) and I found it really difficult, Im sure it wont take too long to get used to it again and after today the latest Ill be finishing work will be 4pm so fingers crossed I wont have to get used to it. Living rural theres no street lighting and a lot of drivers forget to dip so you get dazzled a lot

Had a good day yesterday SW wise. Had my yoghurt and fruit at around 11:30 then it was non stop serving till 4pm - seriously had a queue out the door for 4 hours solid - Halloween and pumpkin patches are big business here in NI  - then I had two slices of Nevilles wholemeal and dairy lea lights and a wee cup of Veg Broth . That kept me going till I got in and supper was left over gammon and bubble and squeak with a selection of pickles, silverskin onions, beets, tiny gherkins - thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful . I had got the pickles in for taster day, Im going to make wee sticks with pickles and rolled up pieces of ham and small cubes of cheese. Im going to use the HEA portion of cheese to see how many you get. Luckily the onions are really wee so I can cut the cubes of cheese really small. In my search for what to take I found a recipe for curry loaf which Im going to give a try curry-loaf.html

Today is a repeat of yesterday food wise during the day - it worked for me yesterday, staved of the hunger, but for supper its going to be chicken of some description salad and spuds of some sort - baby boils or jacket, depends on how late I get in

    Enjoy your day xxx

    Morning everyone,

Got home at 1am so I'm feeling very jaded - will need an early night for sure. The Soul II Soul gig was good but the Royal Albert Hall is a good 10 minute walk from the underground and we had a 25 minute wait for a train at Victoria as had just missed one. I was super good and had 6 chicken nuggets and some ketchup for 9 syns, a coke zero and just drank a diet coke at the venue. We were unreserved standing, so a bit of body magic too.

Sorry to hear you're not 100% yet @maddiemay - hope you feel brighter soon x
I had the 'pleasure' of the Stockbury roundabout that isn't now a roundabout on Friday @joedenise. Can't imagine having to deal with that and the traffic in Sittingbourne anyway on a regular basis! Glad DH is getting better.
What no Company Shop bargains @bubbs?! Scandalous!
Well done on the STS @beanielou x

Need to carve the pumpkin today as we have quite a few littlies in the road who will be round as soon as it's dark. I have a plastic pumpkin bucket full of treats, so need them gone.

Today I'm WFH and food will be:

    B - 2 x WM toast, jam, 2 plums - HEB, 1, S
L - HM BNS soup,  apple, satsuma - Free, S
D - Sticky Chicken, Pak Choi and rice (App recipe) - 2
    HEA - milk
    HEA - cheese
Syns - hi fi bar plus 3 so 6 total

@NornIronRose weigh in for me tonight too, I am still trying to get used to being at target and ideally would like to keep near bottom of range so I can relax more when out and about. My problem is totally lack of organisation and pre-planning.
    Absolutely this.

Good luck for WI this evening @NornIronRose and @maddiemay. 🤞🏼

It's not easy maintaining at target @beanielou . Don't knock your STS👍🏼. I'm another who is always hovering at the top end of range and would prefer to be at the bottom. I do plan but life gets in the way. It's mostly eating out when there are very limited choices of SW friendly food that does it for me.

Cutting back to about 5 syns after the weekend should work @NornIronRose. I find it really easy to eat low syn/syn free when it's just a normal day eating at home. Probably all I need to use regularly would be a bit of cornflour to thicken sauces and the odd syn for when we have sausages which isn't even a weekly thing.

Look after yourself today @Coxy11. That's a late night for a Monday.

I was thinking of making homity pie as we're trying to have a couple of veggie meals each week. I know it's something that @ruby_eskimo makes. Would anyone recommend a particular recipe? Any other vegetarian recipes? I'm thinking of something substantial for dinner rather than lunches as I frequently have JPs or omelettes with no meat. 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, scrambled eggs, ham (P), tomatoes (S)
L- beef and vegetable soup (P,F,S)
D- meatballs on tomato sauce (P,F,S), spaghetti (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Morning all (just!), had a fairly early start so had to negotiate the traffic again although I was only going into the local town so used the back roads which were relatively quiet compared with the usual main road way of going into town!  I managed to get to my waxing appointment 10 minutes early with using the back roads - unfortunately the shop wasn't even open as everyone else got caught in the main road traffic!  So my 9am appointment ended up being 9.15am!

Funnily enough @maman I've got Homity pie on my menu plan for November!  Although I think we'll probably have with sausages rather than just on it's own.  Although it's fairly substantial I don't think it's filling enough on it's own.  I just use the one on the SW website which uses your HEA of cheese in it as it's much cheesier, so more tasty, than the one with just a small amount of cheese in it!  If anyone has a better recipe please post it!

Wow, that was a late night @Coxy11 - no wonder you'll need an early night tonight!  How's your dad doing?  Have you heard anything?  You'll know what I mean about the traffic then having been to Sittingbourne!  The traffic is like that from the Island all the way to the roundabout!

Good luck for WI @beanielou and @NornIronRose tonight.

    Today's plan:

    B - baked blueberry oats - HEB; S; F; 1
    L - jacket potato, cottage cheese, salad, pickles - P; S; F
    D - fish pie - part HEA2; P; F; 3.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk/cheese
Syns - cooked blueberries 1; cheese sauce mix 3.5

I seem to have lost my syn free cheese sauce recipe (apart from the cheese of course!) will need to see if I can find it although I still have another couple of packets of mix to use but can always put those in the motorhome when we got away!

    Have a good day everyone.

Good luck for those weighing in tonight.

We are out for dinner at the pub - curry and pint for £15  DH can have my pint as I don't drink them, so I'll stick with the gin and slim.

Trying to be good today and rest of week to mitigate tonight.

B scrambled eggs and spinach (I never have them without spinach now I love the taste)!
L 3 babybel extra light (HEA) and tomatoes followed by an orange

  • Another day on track for me today, chicken and salad was enough, I didnt need spuds after not getting my lunch till gone 4

However the farm shut up shop today till Christmas and Santa, so the coffee shop had to be stripped - I got a bag of sausages for the dog/us ( sausage casserole for tomorrow ) and a. HUGE bag of tray bakes - three of them chocolate brownies and 3 raspberry ruffles - both really hard to resist so Im not out of the woods yet :)  Right now Im still full and got a two mile walk in after the supper so Im hoping that will keep me strong

Next three days are going to be tough. Ive a bottle of squash to take in to help me stay away from Iced Mochas, I have time in the mid mornings 2 of those days to get my yoghurt and fruit in but I will be hungry from 3pm and it gets quiet then and the temptation builds. Friday is going to be really really tough - 10 till 2 - not hungry before shift, then ravenous at 1 and no break and cake everywhere

Tell ya, SW and working in coffee shops is a challenge :)
