Some wise words on here this morning.👍🏼

Obviously you're disappointed with your smaller loss this week @NornIronRose. You're right to be positive over the two weeks and all the good days you've had will catch up eventually too. Do keep posting just in case there are any extra syns creeping in you've not noticed. I'm sure the exercise is good for you, for toning and your mental health but it's the food that will make the difference.

It's eating out that always gets to me too @MrsPorridge. You probably could make a curry at home with no syns at all and then the glasses of wine would have lowered your resistance to the sweeties and the cake.... Don't feel guilty, it happens.  All you can do now is move on and you're doing that with today's menu.

Thanks for the biryani recipe @Coxy11. I'll give it a try, sounds really simple.

We've had rain and sun this morning @joedenise , weather just can't make up it's mind. Not sure if my dance class is on tonight as some people are concerned about roads potentially flooding.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P)< baked beans (F)
L- JP (F), tuna and spring onions (P,S), pickles (S)
    D- sausage, mash (F), many vegetables (S)
    Syns- gravy 4, sausages 1, mayo 1

NornIronRose I am sorry that you were disappointed with your loss and don’t feel supported by the consultant, I hope that you can find a group more suitable for you.

Amazing support offered by everyone here, you are all fantastic.

LongWalker the craic is great at my group too, consultant is so funny and there are a few people who have us in stitches week after week. Consultant is ace at building people up and always tries to help those with a bad week/weeks to see how they can change things around, never recriminations just telling us to draw a line and keep going.

Joedenise I hope that your travelling was not too awful.

MrsPorridge back on track that is all that matters now.

Joedenise I too love those “free” meals from leftovers.

Maman fingers crossed that it is  safe to you to get to and from your dance class tonight.

I STS at WI, smack on target, but had lost another lb. this morning, just as well as we had lunch out, not worked out the Syns yet, but nearly everything I had ate before was free/speed.

  • Thank you so for the wise words. Honestly Longwalker I could have written some of what you wrote. I am 56, perimenopausal and gained 2 stone in 6 months a few years ago and haven't managed to lose much at all despite doing a marathon last year and a few half marathons this year. I'm still the fat one bumbling along at the back pf parkrun every week.
Love the look of the biryani recipes. Didn't get to look at this till after I fed us so will defrost more chicken and do it tomorrow.
Used a portion of rice from the freezer (after advice on here I got some ziploc bags and that is fab for those portions).
Flattened, spiced and cooked the chicken on the pan and mixed lots of the mixed veg in with the rice. Youngster had the same but with LO mash and gravy.  I had about a dsp of gravy as that was what was left.  Tasted great! And my fussy teen ate the lot!
Have had a healthy A, healthy B and no syns til the gravy. Will work it out and then may have a look at custard to see if I can have a bit of that hot with banana. Just feel the need for some warm, sweet comfort and I know it would be a low fat option at least. Wil have my usual Options Mint to take up to bed instead of crisps and chocolate.

    Evening all

Rose, you had a loss and that is fantastic well done 👏👏 do not put to much pressure on yourself otherwise that is when you will fail, we are always here for you 😍

Longwalker, i wish i could write like you do, you are so encouraging 🥰 believe it or not i walked into group on my own, i never spoke to anyone for about 3 weeks, was really embarrassed when the consultant made a song and dance about my 1st weeks loss (9.5lb) , now if i have a 0.5 lb loss i lap it up 😂😂 i also never stop talking 🤣🤣

Coxy, ww wrap, apple sauce is 1 syn tbsp, put apple sauce in the middle and roll it, put in air fryer/oven sprinkle some sweetener on it. I add cinnamon to mine. That's it so easy!

Mrs P, as others have said just start  afresh today.....line drawn.

It's my birthday Friday, i am going to eat a whole packet of percy pigs but not till after weigh in Saturday 🤣🤣🤣
