Thanks all for the encouragement. Stayed on track yesterday. This morning I've made a crustless quiche with peppers, onions, peas, sweetcorn, beans and carrots.
Today's plan
B wholemeal muffin with mashed banana on top (1HEB)
L Spaghetti carbonara using reduced fat cheddar (1/2HEA) and I'm also going to load it with spinach - I now struggle to eat scrambled eggs without spinach - what a great tip from this group. Also using BGTY sausage (1 syn)
D crustless quiche with salad (1/2HEA)
Other HEA milk

@MrsPorridge - hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately your mashed banana needs to be synned! Quite heftily I think at 4 syns! Had you just sliced it then it would have been Free. As you don't seem to have used many syns then not a problem but worth remembering for the future.
Glad you enjoy the spinach in the scrambled eggs - it was me who mentioned that - it's how I always do mine as it's an easy way of upping the Speed.

It's crazy about the mashed banana isn't it @MrsPorridge? 🤔 It's something to do with using less energy to eat it than it would be if it was whole. I feel the same about syns in cooked fruit. Why doesn't that apply to vegetables? Although I'm glad it doesn't! 😁
I have a crustless quiche recipe that uses mashed potato as a base. Other than that it's just a standard Quiche Lorraine with bacon, onion, eggs, cheese and sliced tomato on top. It's good at this time of the year to eat hot from the oven although it's fine cold too.
We've had all sorts of dire warning about Storm Ciaran in our area @joedenise. Schools are closed and we're advised to stay at home. So far there's been nothing but endless rain. My dance class was cancelled last night as a number of people didn't want to drive given the warnings. Hope the big umbrella holds up for your DD @Coxy11.
I'd never even thought about the emotional issues people have with food until I joined SW @Longwalker and heard members talking about them. It was quite an eye opener. Fortunately for me, I'd been slim all my life and my weight gain was just due to picking up bad habits. I'd been promoted in my job to one far more sedentary and stressful. I took to missing meals or grabbing food from petrol stations like pasties, pork pies, crisps and sandwiches. The worst habit was rewarding myself with wine every night when I got in from work. I gained 3-4 stone gradually over about 10 years. I'm quite tall so managed to carry it quite well but when size 16 started to get a bit tight, I flatly refused to buy 18s and joined SW. It's the only 'diet' I've ever tried and I love it because it lets me eat proper, healthy meals and gives an easy formula for keeping treats in proportion.
I was wondering if you're able to keep your bottle of squash at work or whether you have to keep remembering it? It might be worth you buying some of this to keep in your bag.

They do have an Aldi own brand but not sure they sell it in the winter.
I was meant to be going out for dinner tonight but that's cancelled too because of the weather warnings. We were going to a country pub so probably safer to keep away from all the trees. This means I'll be having a SW dinner and no wine syns, so that's a bit of a silver lining. DH suggested we went out locally or had a take away but I said I'd take a rain check (excuse pun😉). Because I hadn't planned to eat at home, I could have got a freezer meal out but decided to make some burgers. I've got plenty of HEA to spare so will have some cheese on top.😋 We'd have had meatballs too @Jellybaby but we only had those on Tuesday.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- Bubble & Squeak (F,S), pickles (S), fried eggs (P)
D- burger (P, HEA2 cheese), SW chips, peas (F), onions, carrot chips, mushrooms, tomatoes (S)
Syns- 0

It's still really windy here but nowhere near as bad as last night, although the rain is much lighter, just really light now.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your burger but can't see any reason why you couldn't have your wine syns @maman! I'm thinking I might have a couple of glasses this evening as just not been using my syns lately.
I assume your DH was out at lunchtime as you had fried eggs, LOL!1 -
Afternoon all
Hope everyone is safe and warm . It's just started belting it down here, was in the night also but not the wind, but wind seems to be getting up now. Was just drizzly this morning, but everywhere is saturated.
It's nearly dark already because of the weather!
Well i had 2 ryvita, half hexb, hexa cheese on them with cucumber, raddish, pickles, watermelon 😋
Making fish and BNS chips with mushy peas for tea , can't wait, 4 syns

I could have wine syns but I do try to stay alcohol free from Monday to Friday unless I'm out socially mid week.
Apparently Ciaran is making its way to the Midlands tonight @bubbs. Hope it swerves past you. 😊2 -
