NornIronRose said:Hi all.
Gosh this is a busy wee group!
Hope you have all kept safe and not too wet or cold.
I've had another good day food wise.
Was very busy today so didn't have breakfast.
Had a kiwi and a couple of cups of tea in work. Putting the milk as a hexa but rarely using all.
Had wee rye cracker things (hexb) with cottage cheese plus an apple for lunch.
Dinner was great. One of those wee Aldi sachets of cous cous (1/2 sachet for 2 syns) with feta (hexa) and lots of hot mixed veg and sweetcorn. Chilli powder and a dash of lemon juice instead of my usual chilli oil.
Had hot custard and banana again (5 syns) and an Options up to bed with me.
So 8.5 syns today and nicely comfortably full.
Will get out for a run on the morning after work then MOT in the afternoon.
Sleep well everyone. Tomorrow is a new day.
Hope the weather is calmer for your run.Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:2 -

Im so tired I could sleep on a knife edge, Only I cant mind when I last got more then 4/5 hoursWork was MANIC . Most of the country is under water, we have blue sky and sunshine, a beach resort, I struggled to get free parking.Well they piled in today it being half term. Parents , grandparents and children galore, noise and mess all day - and 16k steps in 4 hoursYoghurt and frozen berries and whole bran eaten in the car around 11:30 before shift. Was lush. This batch of yoghurt was so thick and creamy it was like shovelling double cream in, and the fruit was the sharpness rather then the yoghurt. I use the same ingredients every time I make it and its different every time. Must be humidity or something that alters itAbout 2:30 I got myself a wee tea cup of leek and potato soup, left it to cool, got caught up, went back to have it and it had cooled so much it was like supping on runny mash. Needless to say, thats me turned now, so need to think fast for tomorrow ( only too ruddy tired to have a sensible thought )Still it sufficed and I was ok. Got in after 5 and made a huge curry, onions, mushrooms, aubergine , two chicken breasts and a bag of spinach - go me with the speed
-and boiled rice. Wolfed it into me
Friday night has always been fish and chip night. Pre SW Id batter the fish and deep fry - POLLOCK usually, its much tastier and more affordable than cod and triple cook the chips. Since SW, if Ive wanted to have the same, it would be breaded in the air fryer with hand cut air fryer chips. Im not wanting either this week so making those two a fish pie and Ive a couple of bendy aubergines which I shall air fry till collapsing then stuff with tomatoes and onions and chilli and what ever else I find lurking in the fridge and have the left over rice from tonight. What I really really fancy though is chip, cheese and curry sauceIm craving comfort food, because Im tiredWe eat a lot of pollock, or rather we did. Pre first lockdown the local Harbour master drank in the same pub as us and he would often rock up with a boot full of Mackerel , then on day he knocked at my door and said "can you work with these?" Seriously I thought they were baby shark - HUGE things. Well I never say no to free food and took to YouTube to work out how to fillet them and I actually do like the fish. So versatile. Sadly he got caught drink driving ( sadly as he drunk and drove ) and lost his job and means of transport so we dont see him any moreSeriously he would land with four or five pollacks and Im ringing friends to take some ). Now I make do with the bag of frozen pollock from Lidl which is really thin cut and another fish which is sooo good - HAKE. If you fish lovers like cod, haddock and Pollock, hake is lovely. Its not a big seller here locally so usually pick it up on YS
A fish supper for one is around £8 now, I feed the three of us for around the £5 mark@NornIronRose another good sachet food for nuking in work are cooked lentils and lidl do a really tasty vegetable pouch, cant mind right now but its a curry vegetable thingy, not spicy but tasty I usually use half a HEA in a tiny bit of stilton to crumble through the lentils to get the flavour punch as like you I dont take a lot of milk - if any - so use half a HEA as milk, the rest as cheeseOh I rang the doctors, getting my MOT next Tuesday . Last time when I was put on the scales I said to the nurse, do not tell me, I dont want to know.. And I didnt. I knew I was carrying too much but I really couldn't cope with knowing and hiding it away in mens clothing allowed me to kid myself it wasnt so bad. This time, Im going slinkyMind Im not crowing yet, I might have got the weight down, changed my diet , started to exercise , but I still drink like a fish so not expecting to get away scot free
Wee lass is work said to me today, are you having a cake now the wedding is passed. And I said no, I need more off. She asked why and I let it all hang out and said thats why. I cant believe Im wearing tiny clothes yet I still have this ruddy belly. My loss is legs and bum. Two tiny chicken legs and a bony bum. count my ribs but cant find my hip bones. Mind I can see my collar bone, thats been hidden for so long I forgot I had one2 -
Morning all, couldn't sleep so gave up and got up at 5am! Really not been sleeping well lately and always tired.
@Longwalker - you said you crumbled some stilton into you lentils as part HEA but unfortunately stilton is syns not HEA, the only blue cheese which is HEA is Danish Blue. I wish it was stilton as it's a much nicer cheese than Danish Blue I think.
You're not the only one still with a belly - so am I and I'm a target member and have been since 2012 and it's still not gone! I think it's here to stay although it is smaller than it used to be thankfully.
A good day for your @NornIronRose. Do you use the ready made low fat custard or do you make your own? I make my own for 0.5 syns plus half HEA. That makes 175 ml of custard each for me and DH and I think it's nicer than the ready made stuff too.
Although we both love fish we really don't often have it enough. I really must start using it a bit more when I'm menu planning.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
L - fig and feta salad - HEA2; S; F
D - cauliflower cheese, chips - S; F; 3.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - feta
HEB - bread
Syns - cheese sauce mix 3.5
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Morning all,
What a rude person @bubbs - especially given she doesn't attend your group!
You're doing really well @NornIronRose - I like the sound of the cous cous
I too would be turned by cold soup @Longwalker. Hope you manage okay at work today x
I went to the cinema but left after about 15 minutes. It was a British film but clearly not meant for my generation - could have done with subtitles as lots of street speak that I couldn't actually follow. There were a few younger folk sitting behind me absolutely cracking up with laughter and I really had no clue!
Another WFH day and it's dry and bright here today. I need to pop out to get some more brown parcel paper for my Bay of E sales as had another sale last night - that's 6 sales this week. It's great to clear some space as the spare room is a bit like Trotters Independent Traders at the moment.
Food today:
B - scrambled egg with spinach, mushrooms, apple - P, S
L - HM BNS soup, WM roll, 2 satsumas - free, HEB, S
D - Carbonara - HEA, free
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar - 3

At WI today I S/S. So thank goodness I got away with it! Back on track today
B overnight oats (HEB)
L crustless quiche and salad (HEA)
D Jacket potatoes with tuna salad (1 syn for Extra light mayo).
Other HEA milk
Tunnocks teacake (5 syns)
Meringue nest (2.5 syns) and berries
@bubbs that ice cream looks lovely, can I have the recipe please as i have an ice cream maker - thank you.Debt free and Keeping on Track1 -
Well done @MrsPorridge - STS is brilliant. You do like your teacakes don't you? Have to say I like them too but rarely buy them.
@bubbs ice cream is just made using fat free natural greek style yoghurt but she does have a super duper automatic ice cream maker rather than one like mine where you have to keep the ice cream bowl in the freezer for 24 hours before using it! When I make it it definitely doesn't look anything like @bubbs ice cream!

Well done on the STS @MrsPorridge! I walked past the Tunnocks factory on my JoGLE hike. Unfortunately I didn't have the time or space in my rucksack to indulge!
I have a new contract - now at the top of the payscale - so have gone from a £5k drop in salary to a £2k payrise. Couldn't make it up! Now really really need to shine aaaaarggghhhh!
