My gravy came up as 1.5 syns for 100mls. I only used a dsp at most (smeared on the chicken) so am figuring it for 0.5 Syn.
Just had warm banana and custard for 5 syns and it was lush. So my hot choc and syns are 7 for the day and my tummy is nicely full.

Right, got my hot water bottle and hot choc so I'm off to watch Bake Off. Can't watch it when I'm hungry.

@MrsPorridge, as been said here time and time again, draw a line. My consultant always says you cant change what has happened, you can only change what may happen

@Bubbs , we are all the exact same I think. We come from all walks of life, different backgrounds, style of life, but the one thing we all have in common is a none too healthy relationship with food. And thats what binds us. We might have no idea or understanding of someone else's life, but we understand why we are all sat there each week and that ties us and makes us so supportive.to each other, your struggles are mine and vice versa. So it can be intimidating walking in at first but my god, you couldn't meet a more honest and friendly bunch, well AA meetings are pretty similar :) Years back when I went to WW, I went with a lass who was in rehab with me and we used to say - AA for foodies :) We were all there for the same reason, all from different background, all had blips and complete **** ups along the way, but we were there week in and out to support and encourage and share

And a Very happy birthday for this week and do enjoy the Pigs :)

@maddiemay , well done for staying on target xx

So had a cheeky WI at home today, and according to my scales what I had gained is gone and Im looking at possibly another 1/2 off come Saturday . Back to proper work today first time since 19th, and its all changed - again. But easy enough to get the hang of the new system. Glad to be back in although I was pretty antsy this morning. Anyways I thought I was totally organised, had by yoghurt and fruit organised which I eat in the car once I find a parking space, but then found I had forgotten my squash :( No big deal really as we do have drinking water, only I dont like water and walking 12000 steps in four hours in the heat of the store isnt ideal. And being dehydrated turns into IM HUNGRY. Held it all together through shift, had a cup of leak and potato soup ( no milk nor cream etc so free ) avoided the free scones, came home and made sausage casserole and wedges and peas for dinner ( lush ) and then totally wrecked the good work with a piece of chocolate pudding that was left in the fridge. Not a huge bust, but dont forget, I use all my syns for alcohol so it will tell on the scales Saturday

The squash is now out where I cant miss it.

Big vat of ff yoghurt made to last the next week so thats all sorted

Tomorrow shouldn't be too hard to get through, the yoghurt and soup is working out for me ( dehydration cocked me up today ) Im just dreading the 10 till 2's on Friday and Saturday. Luckily Rita had said to the boss that I struggle with those - I have a bit of a drive - and from next week they are 10:30 starts when not 12pm ones :)

Even worse news for me is the pastry chef didnt leave :( Not that I wanted her to leave, love her to bits, but OMG her scones are the best I have ever tasted and @NornIronRose will attest to the love Northern Irish peeps have with their scones. She was leaving because she felt she was being edged out ( lots of changes where I am ) but the ordinary chefs couldn't do a scone if their lives depended on it. Scones are made daily, those left - staff are allowed to take home. Because she hadn't been making them the past week, a lot left today and I was offered, fruit, cherry, plain, cheese and chive and the best being apple and black butter - and I turned them all down :(

    Morning all,

We have Storm Ciaran! Poor DD has just left to get the train, but there are delays on the line. She has taken the 'big umbrella'. Hope everyone here is okay!

Loving all the support on this thread  <3

The tuna pasta bake was lush and there's a portion left for my lunch as DH left at 4.30am to go to Tenerife for a long weekend with his buddies. DD and I will have 'girl dinner' tonight and DS2 is back for a couple of nights from tomorrow.

    Food today:
B - all bran, strawberry FF yoghurt, cherries - HEB, 0.5, Free
    L - LO tuna pasta bake - 2
D - grilled gammon, egg, SW chips, baked beans - P, Free
    HEA - milk
    HEA - cheese
Syns - hi fi bar 3

In terms of Speed I will have an apple and 2 satsumas during the day whilst working. Have been buying the mature cheddar portions in Aldi which are lush with an apple mmmmmmmm.

We doubly love them then up this part of NI - We are Ulster Scots :)

Everyone who is in the path of Storm  Ciaran , stay safe . Ive just been watching some of it on the News Page, looks rough out there in places. I think its missing us, we just have the rain, but then we always have rain so :)

@coxy11 , a timely reminder to me for the need for speed , I eat very little. Ive been looking on the website for a speed day plan but cant seem to find what Im looking for. Is there a speed  7 day plan?

Morning all, been reading along but too much to comment on individually though I will say - you should write for a living @Longwalker I love reading your posts (and become a consultant!).

@beanielou I can confirm us Scots love scones 😁I'd rather have a scone than any other type of cake or dessert.

@Coxy11 I hope your Dad is home and his treatment goes well.

@NorthernLass you're doing brilliantly. I am that member on the SW hamster wheel. I can have all sorts of losses - and gains - sod it days and weeks due to work, parents, health, life in general but I've learned from the wise folks in this group to never, ever give up, draw the line and get back on the wagon. And it helps, not just with SW but all of life's challenges.

Not been the greatest week gone over syns a few times but determined today is going to be good! Breakfast is going to be toast with bacon medallions and mushrooms, lentil soup for lunch and dinner is just me tonight so will be having my absolute favourite: homemade meatballs, tomato sauce with spaghetti and parmesan.

We had quite a stormy night and woke up this morning to frost! Bizarre weather. Hope you all have a good day and stay warm and dry.

Morning all, what a night!  Wind and rain all night, haven't had much sleep and the worst of the storm hasn't even reached us yet!  It's apparently going to be worse this afternoon between lunchtime and 5pm!  Definitely not stepping outside the door!  We even had some lightening a little while ago while we were eating breakfast!

@Longwalker - the website links you need for SP:

    7 day menu plan:  https://member.slimmingworld.co.uk/seven-day-menus/extra-easy-sp

    Today's plan:

B - porridge, frozen strawberries and blueberries - HEB; S
    L - chilli stuffed peppers - HEA2; P; S
    D - Sticky thyme and mustard bacon chops, mash, green veg - P; S; F; 2.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - porridge oats
    Syns - marmalade 2; mustard 0.5

Have a good day everyone and keep safe.
  • We have a hard frost, very slippy underfoot, esp with Buddy pulling like a train

@joedenise - many thanks for those links , just what I needed. I have to be honest and admit I rarely look at the site and books but Im determined to get that loss next week and as they say, nothing changes if nothing changes

@Longwalker - I don't bother with the books to be honest or the app very often.  I use the website daily as I use it for the planner so that I can keep track of syns and HEs!
