Once again I bow down to your crosswording @Sun_Addict 🥂1

Hope you feel a bit better today PIP. I don't want to sound patronising but you do so well to cope with the health issues you have to put up with.
@Sun_Addict - you are a crosswording genius. Eventually when I'd read your explanation 3 times, I "got" the answer and thought how blooming clever you are.
PIP - re your LISA question about cash v investing ... for what it's worth financial bods say that investments will do better in the longer term. I put the princely sum of £1500 into an investment fund 5 years ago and it's grown by 72% which is of course when you say to yourself I should have put some more money into it, just like when the horse whose name you like wins the Derby at odds of 250-1 and you think how rich you'd be if you had actually put your £1 bet on 🤷♀️I've been reading The Humblepenny blog and they run a free financial education weekly series of newsletters - seem like nice people giving sensible information. Might be worth a look2 -

Now I know why I can't do cryptic crosswords0

Thanks @Blackcats, and patronise away, I'll take any comfort and encouragement I can get!
And cheers for the recommendation, I'll look into that blog, and for the input re LISAs- I think you're right, I was just having doubts in case I was being stupid given my financial situation but might as well see what the state of things are when we get there and keep potential options open0 -
Just a gentle reminder that whether anyone else is better or worse off than you is entirely irrelevant as their pain thresholds may be different to yours, the requirements for them to just live their life might be different to yours, and all sorts of other variables too. The person who you perceive as being "worse off that you" might in fact only be struggling with a fraction of what you are, they are simply louder about it! (I'm alive to the issues the whole "comparison" thing can cause having ended up in hospital a few years back after believing someone who made me feel that my issues weren't a fraction of what she was dealing with - turned out she was overstating her own case to rather a significant degree!). From everything you've said on here it strikes me that you do astonishingly well with how much of a "normal" life you manage to live - it is incredibly debilitating having to do everything with a backdrop of pain, I suspect most of us are in awe about the level you refuse to be defined by your health conditions!
Cryptic crosswords are the puzzle equivalent of an Old Boys Club - you have to know all the little tricks and clues before you can even begin the work of trying to guess the answer!
