An in-between phase

Sapiens was one of those books I got because it seemed to be everywhere at one point. It was good - glad I read it but didn’t rush to tell everyone it was a must read. There’s a second book as well - didn’t read that.
I have to confess I have never read the Chronicles of Narnia or the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Oh dear…..

I will definitely give it a decent go @Less_Talk_and_More_Action and if I'm not feeling it after that then it can be passed on/sold/put back in the pile for when I might be in a more intellectually inclined phase!
I wouldn't say the Narnia books are must-reads but a comforting classic is always welcome at times of life stress/hormonalness/winter

Joints very ouchy but mse things have been dun:
Had asked a client if there was any chance of an increase in rates, expecting a 'no' but they've given me an extra 15% which is nice. I mean, it's 15% of very little very occasionally but it all adds up!

20 minute lunchtime walk getting a bottle of reasonably priced bubbly for my friend's birthday gift from Aldi, and a lindt bunny for my mum for Easter from coop before they stop giving points at the end of Jan (would get her something similar anyway so thought I may as well enter the lindt competition!)
As joints bad was particularly pleased to remember (well, find in the cupboard) an emergency jar of pasta sauce I bought with my Lidl voucher, and it's a portion of f&v
Smear results back, all okay 👍
PiP money to emergency/dental pot
Got my £42.75 tax refund, not sure how to best allocate it...
Updated a couple of vinteds. Dug out some more bits to put up but don't quite have the energy to post them yet
Entered a competition naming care home suites, which was certainly different and rather sweet
Another 20 minute walk for a couple of drinks with my birthday friend (at a pub with Camra discount) and picked up the free paper for the cryptic crossword on the way back
Hope you're all having a grand Friday evening x

Thanks @amber03, as you say, it's always worrying having anything Looked Into* but these things are there to make sure it's not worse if we hadn't!

I had the ordeal of a nurse at the GP not doing the smear test properly which ended up with me going to a cancer unit for further investigation. Thankfully there was nothing wrong but what an ordeal for no reason 😡
I’m on duty for help with cryptic crossword clues 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Oh what an upsetting preventable worry @Sun_Addict, that's dreadful. I've had one come back with 'abnormal' before but the second test was fine. Maybe something similar occurred
I will absolutely be hitting you up for crossword help 😂https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Feeling very unwell with joint pain, it's the worst it's been for ages. Not feeling inspired to do anything but try to keep warm, but some things done:

Tiny bit of work
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a two night hotel stay but I would also like a box of chocolate
Did a 20 minute survey for £4
Put £20 of tax refund money into starting off next year's LISA fund, and the other £22.75 into the flat pot
Laundry
This evening will be reading and crossword
Annoying to be even further behind on my steps and behind on my f&v but will try to eat some decent food this evening and pray I feel better tomorrow
Hope you're all having a much more fun Saturday than me!
