Hi @Slowdown - I think our dryer than usual January is a good achievement,  the God of Grapes ? Dionysus ? and/or Bacchus ? certainly does not take kindly to precarious balancing on the back of sofas.

PIP - hope your new plant settles in its new home.  Be sure to add it to the planting scheme documentation for the planners!  A locally grown, locally sourced, previously homeless plant will be sure to get you a high score.

Just spotted the question about a used iPad - I wasn’t bothered about storage & only wanted Wi-Fi so looked at Apple direct refurbs & Back Market. I ended up going with Back Market which saved me £100 over the Apple price.  Very happy so far, have been using it for2-3 weeks.

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 1k but I would also like some biscuits because it's January and I'm pre-menstrual and I can't stop eating 😁

Another small walk and treating myself to a very reasonably priced (for London) pint whilst pondering some further work

Dinner is pasta bake leftovers and probably stuffing the other half of that garlic bread in my face

I believe the white wine Goddess is Pinogrevus and the God of red is Shirazius. They produced a daughter Rosécius, a summer child who often hid away in colder times but blossomed during warm evenings and tickled the tongues of many a foolish imbiber. 

They all play upon the whims of humans and watch from on high as we pay homage one moment then decry their influence the next. “Foolish humans” they say. “Either praise us unquestioningly or go and kneel at the feet of the God of soft refreshments Peegeetippus.”

Yes - pretty much! 

I think the can't stop eating thing is just a general January thing. I've been like that pretty much since christmas regardless of the state of my lady-plumbing's workings! As for Dry January - not a flipping chance! The poor pubs already have it bad enough in January - there's no way I'm kicking them while they're down!

Yougov survey

Norstat survey that on finishing the entire survey said I hadn't qualified. I really liked panelbase but norstat is so shoddy

30 minute walk including up a hill to Aldi, and to coop to get milk with coupon, the system has been sorted so membership price and coupon get applied- but the cashier scanned a bag by mistake so it was the same incorrect price and I had to get that sorted instead. Coop determined to skank my 10p's by any possible means!

Resisted buying myself flowers

Read in bed for a bit, finished one of my books. Not feeling up to starting a challenging one with the potential for ziffit pile though, so have lined up Girl Woman Other by Bernadine Evaristo which I'm fairly certain I'll like
