  • Well still feeling rubbish here, a bad night's sleep; freezing and sweating and boring functional dreams. Period pains, period tummy, joint pains, cough, head still disoriented. I really would like to be productive at some point, maybe spring!

Went back to bed and read and have only just forced myself up on the grounds that I really should eat something today

    Is it spring yet?!

Sorry to hear you’re still feeling rubbish. Well done for still getting out for a walk in spite of it.

The instructor at my bums and tums class does the standing equivalent to sit ups where you pull your belly button to your spine (not literally 🤣). Sort of clenching your stomach muscles in and out, she reckons they’re just as effective.

Hopefully you’ll feel better tomorrow 🤞

I am an absolute expert at lying down. I’m scared of heights so I do it a lot.

Have eaten so that's an essential thing done

Going back to bed shortly. Everything aches, I'm knackered, and the combo of sinuses and joints is making me all discombobulated. Wouldn't feel safe to walk even if I could be bothered

It is at least looking like a no spend day!

Poor you PiP. I really hope you start to feel better soon. Such a sapping illness and yet you keep popping back up. I have much admiration for your spirit.
    Look after yourself. 🙂
  • Aw cheers @Slowdown. So frustrating but trying to adopt a positive mental attitude and just give myself a chance to heal, rather than my usual temper tantrum about the unfairness of it all and forcing myself to do things which are neither essential nor helpful! Bloody bored though. Still, I'm getting through a lot of books, which gets me closer to ziffit potentials, so actually I'm being extremely productive 👀😂

Hope you start to feel a bit better soon, @PennysIntoPounds - You have such a positive outlook, even with your healthy dose of cynicism (takes one to know one, lol). I could honestly spit that you still can't get onto PA. If you were able to do their research surveys on days when you don't feel up to being out & about, you could probably be making an additional £40 or so a month for your flat pot. Hope they are recruiting again soon & that you are selected instead of some inferior herbert!
I wish I could do cryptic crosswords. We bought the Christmas edition Radio Times & I cast an eye over the big crossword & spotted an answer instantly & could also see how the cryptic nature of the clue worked. I scuttled off to fetch a pencil (one that hadn't been robbed & lost by Ash), proudly wrote in the answer......then discovered I couldn't do any others at all - not one! My Grandma & my Dad were big cryptic crossword fans & were good at them, but despite knowing how some of the clues to the cryptic bits work, I still can't seem to get a handle on them, despite being good at quizzes & word puzzles generally. I need a training course!

Aww PiP sorry you're feeling so rubbish - talk about everything coming along at once. Being productive on the reading front is great though - it really does all help after all!

Also loving the comments about exercise as well!
