  • No news about friend.

    The usuals

Client pay, share to tax pot

Chased hospital trust (again) about Dad compensation money as they were meant to pay (again) last Friday. Have said I want to submit an official complaint. The complete lack of empathy or professionalism is astounding. It would be sh*te in any situation but that they can't even get their act together to pay the compensation they owe because of their own failures around someone's death is just gobsmacking.

25 minute walk, found a pretty bowl and two McMo tokens

Cleaned flat before family friend comes to stay tonight

    Resisted pub

    Very tired.
  • I am impressed you resisted the pub after that.  The hospital thing is just poor all round.

Firstly I'm delighted you are keeping the trousers - what a fab thing to happen to Ava person.

secondly I hope you are coping ok at such a tough time waiting for news of your friend.

and finally .....the hospital trust is behaving very badly.  If you have the energy to do it, email the Director of Finance to ask them to confirm that his team have received authorisation to make the payment and that they have processed the payment.  Name and contact details should be on their website,
  • Thanks @Blackcats. They have (or ava) pockets ❤

Not sure if spending all day every day thinking 'is he alive or dead and what is the best outcome of those' is coping okay but it is what it is. Him being my Schrodingers ill friend atm is very distressing but quite useful coping-wise having both hope he's alive and hope he's not suffering to veer between without having to face an actual fact either way.

I will follow that advice re hospital trust when I have energy to deal with it again, thanks for the idea

Very sad to hear about your friend.  It's not any consolation at the moment but you will always have your memories and his family and friends will always be better people for having know him.

  • Much sympathy from me.

So sorry to hear the news about your friend, PiP. That really is no age at all to depart the world. What a cruel disease & how very, very unfair.
