Thanks @ladyholly. I am crying a lot. I've just heard that he has miraculously clung on, though it seems unlikely for much longer.
I really want him to be alive and I really don't want him to suffer. Why is everything always so horrendously unfair.
We've been told we can go and see him tomorrow afternoon so I'll do that. Hope he's still with us. If that is right for him. Bit scared. Don't want to say goodbye.
