  • Hmm, I was expecting *some* dissenting voices @Sun_Addict! Thanks too for your votes @KajiKita and @beanielou. @dawnybabes the tooth fairy's local branch manager was at work all day and all evening yesterday so I didn't leave it under my pillow but I don't think big bucks will be available 😁

    Bits to and from mum, gave her a couple of books from the ziffit pile to donate to her friends local community book swap, and got beany splodge, cheese, and chocolate in return!

    15 minute walk posting letters, taking recycling out etc.
    Mr PIP found two McMo tokens

    20 minute walk with Mr PIP to WFP (work from pub) as we got some money from taking our recyclable glasses from the street party back, as you had to pay a deposit and they ran out of cash!

    Dinner is olio/ys mac cheese from the freezer with salad leaves and baked tomatoes on the side

    Then muchos sleep!


  • Definitely book a break. Mental health is important & it will do you good. I'm sure the amount you would spend is not a lot.

  • I find it difficult myself to justify a trip away when I'm paying off debt. Yet I want to say to you do it!!! Why is it we find it hard to take our own advice?

  • Thanks @Makingabobor2. I have realised that I also need another £40 odd quid for flu and covid jags, and that the date of the show may coincide with period, so will have to dither a bit longer!

    Ha, I know @Sarahwithlove. Probably because we want nice things for people we know could do with some enjoyment but also that it is daft to part with hundreds of pounds when there are really, really important things other things to do with it (like become debt-free/hope to ever have an actual home!)
