Well done for tackling the tooth and the dentist. Enjoy a cosy afternoon recovering.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -

Thank you me lovelies. Feeling fine and un-numbed now, just a wee dull ache. Not even any blood in saliva which dentist said there would likely be. They didn't have to take gum apart, just had a couple of little local injections, it took about five seconds, and was done under band 2 treatment cost. Moral of the story is, get the thing done instead of winding yourself up dreading it. Dentist said I should come in for a full check-up within the next three months and it would be covered under this payment. So dreading that now instead 😁 Very relieved and pleased to have it sorted though.

Wanted an apple but made myself have the remaining olio chocolate mousse for soft food instead 😂
Saved myself £24 plus travel etc by declining to go see a show with a best friend which is a bit of a shame but I'm secretly hoping to get a couple of nights away with the hospital trust money and don't feel like I should take further spending liberties with myself.
Got some hopefully still edible old leftover Chinese takeaway noodles out of the freezer so will have that for dinner. Feeling pretty tired so an early night planned. Started reading The Mirror and The Light by Hilary Mantel (the last in the Wolf Hall series) and very much enjoying it

Oh I am so pleased the denting is done and it wasn’t too awful. I’m dreadful with dentists too. Also sending healing vibes. Maybe a scrap of the remaining PiP money could be spent on a small treat for you and as a bravery award?I read that HM … made me cry at the end, I warn you … but I’m a soft sack so you may be okay 😉

Thank you @KajiKita, and I think I cried at the end of the last two!
Nice idea to use it for a treat but I already sent it to the locked pot so I couldn't start misusing my funds to reward me for the terrible ordeal of literally five painless seconds 😁 I am however wondering if I can rustle up another couple of hundred quid for this break away I'm pining for... Probably not, any extra money raised is needed in the Christmas and Flat pots!
Actually, thoughts please Team Tuppence; I have been paid my £150 for the product testing thingy. I need another £150 in the Christmas pot and another £95k plus 16k plus 7-8k in the flat pot 😂
How outrageous would it be to put it/some of it towards a break away for a few days? I wouldn't usually consider it, but some mates are doing a show in one of my favourite boltholes in Sussex, and I haven't been there for ages and I'm missing it, and it seems such a shame to not go when other people I know will be there, and see and support them.
On the other hand, we need somewhere to live in under two years and the council are still ignoring us and it's not like I'm rolling in 150 poundses coming my way.
On the other, other hand, I'm already thinking to use some of the hospital trust money to go there anyway as it was where I went for some alone grieving time when Dad died and it feels a fitting use to use it to go back to a favourite place and have some alone grieving time when I guess this phase of things that have dragged on being horrible from his death has come to a close.
On the other, other, other hand, want and sentiment and grieving is all well and good but it doesn't get a roof over your head does it..1 -
Spend the money on a break for yourself. You work hard. You need a recharge. It’s not a *lot* of money after all.KKAs at 15.07.25:
