  • My mini cactus started to flower this year. The bud was pink and after much anticipation we were checking daily waiting for it to flower when the bud mysteriously fell off 😖 I’m pretty certain the cat who likes to sit on that windowsill is responsible, but he denies all knowledge 😢

  • Happy Sunday!

Yesterday's highlights were found 20p and two McMo tokens, and went out for drinks with some mates I hadn't seen for years so not healthy or mse but bloody marvellous.

Today is a neighbourhood street party so will try to watch the pennies and alcohol intake but also not stress too much and just enjoy it.
I think I'm being a bit 's*d it' cos I know I'm going to have to find another couple of hundred quid to sort out this wobbly wisdom tooth so am slightly sulking.
Will get my big girl pants on and behave like a responsible adult soon, just not quite yet 😁
  • Glad you enjoyed drinks with friends. Have a fun street party. Sounds like there is good community spirit where you are (apart from upstairs)

Sometimes … being a responsible adult is overrated (speaking as one who knows! 🙄😉). Glad you had a well deserved good time 😊

Oh no please don’t behave like a responsible adult 🤣 Hope the street party goes well and you enjoy it 🥂🍷🍹💃
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Thanks @doingitanyway, much fun was had, and happily upstairs is no longer a problem since we moved a few months ago, we're the upstairs-most now and if it's physically and financially possible I'm hoping to never have upstairs neighbours ever again!

    Absolutely @South_coast 🥂

Cheers @KajiKita and @Sun_Addict, will just make a wee attempt at responsible adulting to resentfully pay for this dental treatment then will sack it off asap 😁

Had such a lovely time today, we mostly drank shop-bought beers from home so that was a big saving, and got lots of free exercise dancing, largely in the rain! Was glad I didn't wear make-up, or a white top and bra 😂

Random highlight was seeing Robert Pest*n singing Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe, and in all fairness it was a banger. MSE highlight was finding five books a neighbour had put out for taking. One of which was One Day by David Nicholls, which I know is a big telly show now- I've never read it as it's one of those books which have always felt like it will be a real effort but I don't know why, so if anyone can enthuse me otherwise please do so!

Half hour walk getting tubs of Quality Street from tesco as they've got a clubcard promo on- all the types of usual tubs are on offer at £4.50 but Quality Street is the only one that hasn't shrinkflationed as much and is 600g rather than the others' 550g. Anyway, that's some relatives Christmas pressies sorted.
Found nine books a neighbour was getting rid of so will see what's ziffitable (have kept all of yesterdays).
And because I'm a financial genius, remembered I should really give the three month notice on the Christmas pot. I will be doing most of my shopping on December 14th

25 minute walk dropping off a vinted sale, found 1p and two McMo tokens

Got an email saying one of the Yo*SpotPr*perty places I'd sent in fits their criteria and I'll be getting a voucher within the next month or so, looking forward to my £20 M&S Brucie Bonus

20 minute walk for a beer and catch up with Mr PIP. Still ignoring the looming dental costs and work because it's too intimidating and I'm an idiot.
Found yet another book! Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris, looks intriguing

Dinner is leftover mozzarella sticks from the other night's pizza deal, and leftover onion bhajis Mr PIP was hankering for from the street fair, with salad leaves. Let's definitely focus on the healthiness of the salad leaves here 😁
  • Great news about the voucher!
