I honestly couldn’t have got through Mr SA’s illness and the aftermath without the people on here. Such an amazing community of people ❤️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

So very sorry to hear about your friend 😢
For me it does rather reinforce ‘tempus fugit’ …. Your proposed trip was to see friends you don’t see very often wasn’t it? What Mr PiP’s take on it?Sending hugs x

Thank you @Makingabobor2 @southern_chick and @dawnybabes x
Thanks @KajiKita. The possible trip was more for me to spend some of the hospital trust money having some alone time coming to terms with the end of this stage of grieving for my Dad in a place that's meaningful, but the mates (occasional work mates rather than close friends, though of many years) being there at a same time did make me rather err towards doing it. Mr PIP is supportive with whatever I feel is needed. But all irrelevant until I know about what is happening regarding my dear friend.

Nice walk on Hampstead Heath with Mr PIP.
Slightly less wholesome walk around the manor but one that gained us 13 McMo tokens.
Papers in the pub. Bought a Times yesterday in honour of my friend who did their cryptic crossword daily, managed to finish the cryptic crossword today. This has made me very proud and very sad.
