  • Awww, PIP, so sorry for your loss. Is it too late to arrange the break, now that the uncertainty is over? I know you've already re-allocated the money, but it doesn't have to be a one-way street (something I should tell myself more), and I can't think of anyone who deserves a change of scene more x

Thank you @South_coast, that's very kind, and I appreciate the idea, but I won't know when the funeral is for a wee while and I want to be in the area anyway in case I can be of use to the family. They're still reeling from his disintegration from being fine a few months ago, let alone him dying.
And as he's been such a core part of our Christmas celebrations for so many years, I particularly don't want to feel stressed about Christmas budget this year. I know spending money isn't going to take away the sadness and strangeness of this Christmas, but I can well do without having extra anxiety so I think the Christmas pot is a good part recipient of the potential break fund

I have two Boots vouchers for '£5 off when you spend £20 on selected healthcare' valid until 28th Jan and a McMo token for a 'Withu fitness app 3 month trial' valid until 31st Dec, if anyone wants them DM me, I can pop the Boots ones in the post and DM the McMo code to use online

    Half wussy situps

20 minute walk with Mr PIP going for Sunday afternoon beer and reading the paper we treated ourselves to

Dinner is beanie splodge with mashed potato bake, both from the freezer

Budget is looking a bit dire for the rest of the month so will have to spend as little as possible in the next few days to honour arrangements already in place

Just what is a wussy sit up.  Although I doubt if I could do even one anyway.  You seem to get a lot done even if you "only" do wussy situps.
  • Good question @badmemory- general flailing, stopping because something or other is particularly aching, stopping because I've put the radio on and it's started playing a dire song, having to coax myself out of the lying-down position to sit up because it's nice having a little lie-down, that sort of thing. As you can probably gather, I am not a toned female adonis

I’m amazed at how many things you find. I’m heading down to the big smoke next week so will make sure I bring an empty bag with me so I can make the most of those streets of treasure 🤣

  • 😊 thank you @foxgloves, I shall be even more convincing as a womble when the nights draw in further and I stop shaving my legs

Do @Sun_Addict, you never know. Is this for your awards do? Take tupperware in case there are any bits of food needing a home! Mr PIP got back today from a big external meeting with a few triangles of sandwiches and packets of crisps that were left over, will do us for lunch tomorrow

If you see anything yellowish in London @ladyholly please don't touch it
