Blackcats said:You could enlist all your debt free and mortgage free wannabe friends into running the country's finances and HMRC. (I'd prefer not to be in your HNRC team though as 18 week turnaround time is a bit tight to fit in with my work/life balance). You'll notice that I'm online at 4.35 on a Wednesday so I'm not a shirker but 18 weeks is too much of a rush for me. 🥴I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Random q why do you do sit-ups pip?

Is that that an existential question @WelshmansDaughter 😁
Mainly because my joints can get so bad that I need some (shoddy, admittedly!) core strength for manoeuvrability of self, also it's one of the very few types of exercise my body can take, and also because I'm not someone who's terribly enthused about a healthy lifestyle so at least I'm doing something. But mainly the joints issue; when I can barely put my hands down because fingers/wrist/elbow/shoulders are bad, I can feel how much my abdomen is doing in terms of movements like getting up from a chair. You'd think I'd be very svelte but I drink enough beer to counterbalance that 😂2 -
I absolutely love the idea of a regency hamper. Regency Bath and Georgette Heyer and Jane Austen and ...My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Regency hamper piqued my interest too….maybe there’s a Mr Darcy in there, or at the very least a high waisted gown, some satin slippers and a parasol for the PIP around town 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I do so hope I win and it lives up to expectations @redofromstart!
'The PIP around town' @WinterWarrior 😂
I am now going to start declaring that I absolutely must have all the beautiful things, what with needing to maintain my reputation in society 😁4 -

I get bothered fluttering a fan after 5 mins (been known to take them to clubs when dancing ) or on the tube.
I would not have survived the Regency period well - far too outspoken
Very impressed with your sit-ups!I just won a £50 gift voucher for a v expensive Indian near my parents so it won’t go far but may just cover 2 Mains !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
