So much flat sorting, including me and Mr PIP carrying a chest of drawers round the corner. Sacked off the notion of going for a long walk after that!

Popped to local for a couple of beers once I'd hit an absolute wall so at least a 20 minute walk was done. Had to be non mse and get eggs in the Sainsers Local but as spendy decisions due to tiredness go I think I can cope

    I need crossword assistance please!

One or two people playing (6 letters)

     _  _  _  G _ E

Confident on the G and E

I can only see Single for 'one' but no idea about the rest of the clue

Is it referring to tennis, @Pip? As in 'single' means one person, but a 'singles match' in tennis would be two people?

Spotted is the word you’re looking for. Wandered means an anagram. As it wandered so the anagram is of “as it” and the last 3 letters are a word for home written backwards. And despite having suspected that logic myself, and spending ages staring at lists of synonyms, I still had to Google the actual answer!

@dawnybabes as @WinterWarrior modestly says, Chri + Sten eventually = Call (as in to name someone, to christen). Can't believe you googled it 😂 Love your enthusiasm for finding the answer

@stymied I saw Stained right away from your post but wasn't looking at the clue in the right way at all!

  • Those of you with cats, how do you line the litter tray? We use newspaper on a liner bag then put litter on top, but the cat keeps shredding all the paper and it makes it more difficult to do a quick clean up for her...
