Yes it’s been very nice not to worry about being blown away when outside and also quite a decent temperature today.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪2 -

Been very stressed with build all day, raised heart rate and verge of migraine. Mr PIP same, we keep apologising to each other for being snappy, we're just so exhausted with all the sh*t. Anyway, don't want to think about it any more today. It'll presumably all get sorted at some point, without us constantly pushing and pushing for it to be done with.
Let's focus on some positives.Read my diary back for this month and felt much better for all your recent support. I hope you all know how much of a lovely impact you have.
Used my fave mug bestie got me which says 'I am a goddamned delight' with a picture of a blackbird on it.
Had afternoon snuggle and rest time with Mr PIP in the spare room sofabed as that room is super calming.
Got my five a day in and did a carpet walk.
House is tidy and hopefully we'll have energy for some cleaning tomorrow but if not then as I always say, the good thing about cleaning is that it will still need doing if you don't do it so it's hardly an emergency if you don't
Mr PIP got the curtain rail and curtains up in the living room so I can pretend not to be in if any Halloween people come by while he's out seeing friends tonight. He's done a great job and we chose the curtains well.
I have food and chocolate and beer and wine and books and lamps. And am wearing a big orange knitted jumper and bat and lizard earrings for Halloween appreciation. And a specially selected perfume of course.
While I had hoped to do more work today I at least have a decent idea of how to take it forward.
Hopefully we will wake up raring to go tomorrow but if a rest day (ish) is needed then so be it. I am aware we appear to be approaching complete burnout and while it's difficult to see anything that can be turfed or changed, I might as well not stress about trying to force myself to do not essential things that there isn't energy for. I think we all know how the cleaning is going to go 😁
I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday and Happy Halloween. May the spirits and the stars align to turn the season towards only good things for us all ✨️🥂

It does sound like it’s getting on top of both of you. Unsurprisingly!! (I’m impressed that you have lasted relatively unscathed for this long Tbf 😊).
Please decide now, that tomorrow is a rest day, and really use it for nice, restorative things. You need it and if you decide it now, then you will be able to take it without any nagging feelings of guilt. Like you say, the cleaning isn’t going anywhere …😉😂 (neither is mine btw!😂😂).Glad to hear about the curtains, they will help to make that space feel cosy and safe ❤️

Yes, @PennysIntoPounds - I recommend dramatic use of the expression 'bunch of a*se' in relation to build hassle, followed by a total rest day. You see, more dust will rock up tomorrow so you may as well leave showing it the vacuum until Tuesday to let it settle properly.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!3 -
yes, I agree that a rest and relaxation day tomorrow is a good plan. Just like cheddar, dust is better when matured.
I think there might even be a fairly good football match to watch at 4.30. Give it a go, you might find you like one of the teams.3 -
One of my friends is a big fan of the dust if you must poem 😆I can’t believe the build admin is still ongoing 😖

Thanks gang, can't declare tomorrow a full rest day as got to do work on weekends for next six weeks cos deadlines, but will otherwise ensure I only do nice things or b*gger all. The dust isn't yet thick enough to write messages in so that's something to look forward to. Yeah @Sun_Addict us neither, us or our thumping hearts or throbbing heads either

Well it’s good to have the work 😊
Hope you can get what you have to do, done swiftly and then enjoy the rest of your ‘day off’ 😊
