I think the stocking up thing is something that actually most of us are probably on top of already, on here. We're also of course better set than so many folk to be able to cook stuff from scratch, know what can be eaten without cooking and just generally cope if we can't shop/get a takeaway or whatever. The bottled water thing bugs me a bit though - I think we have settled on just getting a few of the big 5 litre bottles that we can then use for camping in due course anyway - we've always used one of those bottled to refill on camping trips as it saves having to keep taking the kettle to the tap!

Had hoped to get lots more done but frankly I am done with striving through tiredness for the day, and am going to have sofa beers and read books. Mr PIP is away for a couple of nights with work so who knows what interesting concoctions I'll have for dinner 😁
Hope everyone has had at least an acceptable Monday 🍻

We've also gone for those big 5L water bottles as I know I can re-use them as cloches.
Agree that old-style frugal skills are a strength in this kind of scenario.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
We too are going for the 5L bottles of water because we can repurpose the bottles, but I'm getting the in laws 2 litre bottles as they wouldn't be able to lift a 5L bottle.

No chance of my shoulders manoeuvring a 5L bottle either @Baileys_Babe!
