I never had a pony phase, but loved Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys and then Biggles. The Secret Garden was the first book that had me reading non stop to finish it and made me realise how wonderful reading was. I love hearing about everyone’s favourites 🥰

  • Lovely hearing about everyone's childhood books 😊

My today (other than starting Phantom Tollbooth!):

    Admin
    Tidying
    Few receipt surveys

So very tempted to go back to bed

Bits and bobs off the to-do list
    Comping

    Rucksack and suitcase from mums

    Flat sorting

    Flat sorting

    So much flat sorting

When my joints really couldn't take any more, entered some competitions. Today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 5k in store vouchers but I would also be very pleased with some fancy-looking chocolate and a cashmere scarf

    Little bit more sorting

20 minute walk to meet Mr PIP after work, dropped off plastics recycling, recycled a pair of shoes, got essentials from Aldi.
Dropped off crossword paper to mum on way back and ended up having a glass of wine with her which was nice

Does anyone happen to know what the 'Sparks treats' are if you recycle clothing at M&S?

Hope everyone is having a great Friday, I am absolutely knackered!
    Much to do tomorrow 😂

My childhood favourites were The Twins at St Claire's series and all the Little House on the Prairie books.  (I loved the tv series too)

  • Loved the chalet school and Mallory towers. Didn’t watch the tv version in case they ruined it.

Up not terribly bright but definitely early for a Saturday!

    Half wussy situps
    Tidying

    Bits from mums
    Flat sorting

    Comping

Mr PIP went to a pub event with his mates and I stayed home and did spec work and flat work

    Half hour carpet walk

Ordered Mr PIP a new nectar fob as his broke. There are points to be had! 😂

Domestic things like changing all the towels and watering all the plants

    20 minute carpet walk

Cracked open a Brewdog Hazy Jane Pineapple which oddly enough tastes of Tizer

Bit tired, momentarily forgot the word for toes and had to call them feet fingers

Defurred as much of a big blanket as I could. We've agreed the cat will have to be sent out to work, the amount she costs us in lint rollers

    Ten minute carpet walk

Big dust-down of sofa supports we've removed

    More flat sorting

Mr PIP back soon with random yellow sticker dinner!
