It sounds as though you have been Queen of Numbercrunch Land today, @PiP. It can be very satisfying - not to mention sensible - looking into available funds & how best to deploy them. I am always impressed with your positivity about the Flat Pot, which really is the epitome of 'every little helps' & whatever happens re eventually spending it, HAVING it is going to be a whole lot better than not having it, that's for sure.

Isn’t it a great feeling to be able to cross off so much of a list! Brilliant plotting and planning to make best use of available funds there.

I will have my fingers tightly crossed on the rent saving accommodation possibility  - it sounds like it would work out so well for all concerned. I take it there are some decent pubs nearby - or actually, you said it’s near to your Mums, so that means there is, doesn’t there! Even better!

  • Thanks @foxgloves *waves regally from carriage made out of to-do lists*
And thanks especially for your kind words about the flat pot. I do sometimes in insecure moments feel a bit of a time-waster on here as I have no real income, no property I have or will inherit, and a body that feels getting up in the morning is an achievement- so yours, and everyones, support is much appreciated

Cheers @EssexHebridean, and yep the local pubs will still be the same- I'll be a whole minute closer so will have to factor that into my steps 😁

  • I have done some things other than feeling sorry for myself and pondering lists today

    Admin, comping, tidying

Am adoring one of my free Olio jumpers, it's Scandi style and makes me feel like the sort of person who might do jigsaws. I mean, I won't, but it's nice feeling like I might

    Free Olio croissant for breakfast

Was brave and went for a 20 minute walk despite being reluctant in case of bowel issues. Used some of the m&s voucher for chocs for mothers day

Continued for another 20 minute walk round the neighbourhood in spring sun, making sure not to stray too far

Did the M&S receipt survey- realised I'd been charged 50p more than the shelf price. Emailed them

Set up bank details with Quidco so should be able to withdraw money in 48 hours

    Requested £101.31 from paypal

Asked family friends re their availability this week

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 2k but I'd also like the Women's Prize book shortlist with a bottle of Baileys Please

A client sent me £2.75 to paypal about an hour after I'd withdrawn the other money, and I hardly ever use paypal 😂
That can go in the current account

20 minute carpet walk reading a book for the ziffit pile

    Uploaded an item to vinted

Surprise swift reply from M&S asking for more details so responded to that

Small bit of hoovering but body is being very EDS and aching so stopped doing the things in favour of blanket and red wine and crossword

Use-it-up veg with leftover cauliflower cheese from the freezer for dinner

Oh my days you’ve been productive! A jumper that makes you feel like someone who might do jigsaws 🤣🤣

@pennysintopounds I know what you mean about jumpers. I have one that makes me want to weave nets and another one that makes me want to lean soulfully against things whilst nodding my head in a wise fashion

I never wear jumpers, always fleeces …. Meg thinks I’m missing out here!! 🤔😉😂😂

Excellent doings PiP. I am particularly impressed by your spotting the difference between a shelf price and your receipt - I suspect that I wander around in too much of a haze to do this!

Having got into the idea of doing receipt surveys, I see that T's have now stopped theirs. I was slightly tempted to have a moan on TwiX about them not honouring the 25 CC points they said I could get for doing it - but figured it probably wasn't worth the effort! I did do my Lil's one though, so that's one I stand a chance of winning.

I mostly wear fleeces or hoodies - sadly neither of those make me feel like doing any things that I wouldn't usually do.

You are absolutely not ANY sort of time waster - there's masses of us lingering about who either aren't still technically DFW'ers, I was one of them until not so long ago remember?! (And I'm only not now because I got a mortgage so I could change boards!)

Somebody mentioned jumpers and I appear....

I know what you mean about jigsaws and jumpers, we bought two (jigsaws) earlier this year - for the first time as an adult, and I immediately wanted dry roasted peanuts, and a cheese and wine party.
  • My motto is basically 'might as well have a moan' @EssexHebridean 😁 Go on, it'll take you 30 seconds to tweex
Thanks for your kind reassurance, and I love that it sounds like you went to the effort of getting a mortgage just so you could change MSE boards 😂

I believe it's obligatory @redofromstart and will be monitoring your diary closely to make sure you haven't traversed the laws of the jigsaws 🍷🧀
