Cross-posted with you by me making dinner enquiries on your diary @EssexHebridean, these are the important issues after all 😁
Eggs are suspiciously easy, they lull us into a false sense of security and make us look foolish when we're tired. At least I only get free range, so I can enjoy the thought of the happy hens laughing at me4 -
We survived another winter! Well done all round 🥂
And happy St David's Day to the Welsh contingent
March looking like an expensive one though...
-Had already had to start on the March budget
-Mothers Day
-No foreseeable big jobs lined up
-Need to sort LPAs as soon as it's new tax year
-Not going to happen but would be nice to know next year's 1k LISA payment is tucked up
-Really want to get back to energy levels of getting every quid we can in the flat pot

And...
A close family friend couple are moving out of their flat if their purchase of a place by the sea goes through.
They've said would me and Mr PIP like to live in the flat and share a proportion of bills with them and they'll keep a bedroom and stay when they come up to London.
It's just round the corner from mum's, me and Mr PIP would get our own space together, and we would be able to save a fair bit on rent to put towards build works and hopefully have a smaller mortgage.
This is of course all dependent on them being able to successfully buy (they're currently in talks). It would be for max ~two years which is perfect if we get these planning consents any time soon. If not then we'll have to deal with that but it's too much money to save at a time when we'll be faced with big bills, to be hesitant on timing grounds.
So that was a long way of saying
-I also need to try to save towards a months rent/bills in case there's a crossover month as Mr PIP has to give two months notice

Picked up a mixed bag of clothes from Olio, turned it into a 30 minute walk. Olioer said it was fine to sell on so have kept some and waiting to see if my friend wants any then will put remaining items on Vinted.
One of the items I've kept is a pair of leggings. I've never been a leggings person but they do look comfy and good with big jumpers so I'm seeing if I take to being a leggings person without making a foolhardy purchase. So far I feel quite naked. Might have to sleep in my skinny jeans to readjust 😁
Then later picked up some breads and pastries from Olio, turned it into a 25 minute walk and got a bottle of prosecco for mothers day but nothing spent on myself. Have beers and a bit of red wine in so resisted pub- picked up the free paper for the crossword so that's my Friday evening sorted
No exciting news from surveyor, just have to keep nagging council. No way of knowing if they'll take months or years!
Quarter wussy situps
Laundry
Bits and bobs off the to-do list including putting some free bits up on Olio
Time for a beer and some crossword. Have a lovely Friday evening everyone x

Wow ….. the possibility of you and Mr PiP having a cheaper place together and without noisy neighbours overhead… have I understood correctly?? This is so exciting 🤩❤️🤞

Yes also wondering if this is a cause for celebration 🎉
Am I allowed to celebrate St David’s Day as my grandfather was Welsh and my daughter has a Welsh name 🤣 Oh and daffodils are my favourite flowers 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
The flat sounds like an amazing stepping stone while your building formalities and actual building work progress.
we will all send positive messages for the successful seaside purchase for your friends.1 -
It is an exciting prospect @KajiKita but I'm trying not to assume anything as we all know how ludicrous buying somewhere can be, and they're not in a position where they need to put up with anyone's nonsense if the negotiations do not go smoothly. And I'll miss my mum terribly despite only being round the corner. And I'll be sad to not have Mr PIP's place for easy links with my friends and community in that area of London. Though not sad to not be sleeping under Mrs Clomp!
So yes a potential cause for celebration @Sun_Addict but if it doesn't happen there will be things to enjoy and be grateful for in the meantime, but it would be great for me and Mr PIP to save some money for the build and have our own space and not be intruding on mum (not that she makes us feel like that but it's always nice to get your bathroom back at least, especially with me hogging it being Ms Melodramatic Bodily Functions 😁)
Cheers @Blackcats, 'actual' building work sounds like a daft fantasy at the moment!
But hopefully, perchance, if four people find the true four corners of the globe and all ring a bell forged from pure iron from the deepest depths of the planet at the exact same time, maybe, just maybe, the council won't be absolute s**** and waste any more of our years of ability and earnings3 -
You could barely be any more Welsh @Sun_Addict, please make sure to celebrate appropriately 🥂🌾
(There isn't a daff pic so this was the best I could do but you get the gist 😁)0 -
