I hated sports at school. I was no good at it and as I cycled to and from school every day come rain or shine I didnt see why I had to do it. I have a particular aversion to sports days in primary school. It is abuse to me as there are always children who are not good at it and to humiliate them by proving it usually in front of parents is just plain cruel. (I was that child). The way I explain it to people who dont get it is if a child has difficulty reading they wouldnt dream of making them stand up and prove it in front of the whole school plus parents so why do it with sport. If the children want to take part great but they shouldnt be forced as we were. Perhaps it has changed now I dont have school age children or grandchildren.Sorry to take over with a rant but it is something I do feel very strongly about. As for showers somehow I managed to avoid them for virtually all my school career.

Agree with @WinterWarrior on the crossword clue - chart = plan, do something with again = reuse, liqueur = chartreuse. That was quite an easy one 👍
As you only ask for help with the odd clue you must be pretty good at cryptic crosswords.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Blimey well done @WinterWarrior, I've never heard of chartreuse!
Is it well posh?!
An easy one @Sun_Addict?! 😂
Thanks for your interpretation but I mostly just don't want to embarrass myself even further 😁
Agree with all on school exercise, I bunked off as soon as I was old enough to. Not very athletically inclined anyway, but with an undiagnosed chronic pain condition I was just seen as attention seeking, which was ironic as anyone paying attention to my clumsy sore body was the last thing I wanted. Such a shame we as a society do this to kids, I vaguely remember quite enjoying being involved in some sports when younger and would probably have much better fitness now if I hadn't been given the strong impression that being able to enjoy what your body can do is worthless if it can't do everything that's asked of it1 -
@Sun_Addict definitely an easy one, I am really bad most of the time. And I’ve never tried it pennys, I had to google it to make sure I’d got the name right…the description does not sound appealing 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’m another school exercise hater. I was tall at an early age and quite ungainly until I grew into myself. I was okay at netball but we didn’t do that all year. Don’t get me started on gymnastics- definitely a form of torture for all but about 2 of the class who were more flexible!!Couldn’t agree more with the comparison with reading- why was it okay to humiliate children who didn’t excel at sport? No idea if it’s moved on as I don’t have children but I hope it has.Glad you’re feeling better PiP - if not quite fully recovered. That sounds like a horrible virus.L x3

Just to make you all laugh my sports crowning glory was coming second in a sack race. Sounds good?....... There were only two in the race.4

Speaking of bodies and humiliation, I've had an unfortunate bowel incident so am feeling somewhat sorry for myself as well as embarrassed and incapable. But is is Sunday and no bad vibes are allowed on a Sunday!
Have been addressing March budget, it goes a little something like this:
-Had already had to start on the March budget
Be as cheap as possible, especially when alone so there's still a little bit of money for nice times having drinks and catching ups with Mr PIP
Might also need to consider upping the monthly budget a little as prices aren't going to come back down are they. Will mean I get through savings more quickly but will have to worry about that when it happens
-Mothers Day
Mum has said she'd like us to go to an exhibition then get a take-away so thats cheaper than gastropub.
Budgeting £50 for fares, food and a couple of bottles of decentish wine. Exhibition is free entry
-No foreseeable big jobs lined up
There are a couple of small jobs I can focus on so those will hopefully contribute
-Need to sort LPAs as soon as it's new tax year
Either need approx £180 or £100 depending on if they accept my claim for paying the lower rate. Had already saved £100 so another £80 needed in case they don't
-Not going to happen but would be nice to know next year's 1k LISA payment is tucked up
Any medium to big Brucie Bonuses!
-Really want to get back to energy levels of getting every quid we can in the flat pot
Have done the £10 survey cashout request
Will focus on getting vinteds up
Try to do boot sale this month and hope for profit!
Send ziffit pile the next time they email a bonus code, may not be this month though
-I also need to try to save towards a months rent/bills in case there's a crossover month as Mr PIP has to give two months notice
Arrange seeing them and ask, though they might not really know as they can't know when they'll be moving til they buy/exchange/complete. If other pots need to be depleted then such is life. We'll still be making a saving towards the build while living there
Additional:
-would also be good to have £6 or £12 to stock up on stamps before the price increase, without feeling like it's hitting another bit of budget
Will see what the various budgets are saying

Have been further clarifying my mse thinking; money that can be used for the above:
£211.07 still not allocated from tax pot I ended up not having to use
£36.95 in Quidco has cleared- would get an extra £1.11 if allocated it to a M&S voucher, which is tempting but I think I need to focus on cash in the essential pots
Got £30 left of previous M&S voucher, would like to use it to have another treat evening for me and Mr PIP and mum to feel like I'm contributing to something nice for us all, but also get mum some mothers day chocs using it
I have £131.31 Paypal money, didn't realise it was that much! Would prefer to keep £30 in there for convenience but can take it out if needed
Still have £50 voucher from product testing ages ago but would prefer to keep that towards mum's birthday if possible

So for now:
£211.07 from old tax pot- £11 to stamps pot.
£200.07- wait to find out about possible month's rent crossover. If not needed for that, to LISA pot
Use £30 of Quidco money for mothers day.
Remaining £5.95 to current account/this month's general budget. £1 to stamps pot
Get chocs for mum with M&S voucher, use rest for a nice evening in
Keep £30 in paypal, take out £101.31
£80 to LPAs pot. £20 to mothers day. £1.31 to current account/this month's budget
Keep £50 voucher for mum's birthday
So remaining:
Do all of that
Possibly months spare rent needed TBC
1k LISA payment TBC
Do the things on the flat pot list throughout the month and ongoing
Focus on the small work jobs available

Can't beat a long list that says 'do all of that', practically sorted
