Jigsaws you say ? I love a good jigsaw … though now feel I need to get a ‘jigsaw’ outfit 🤣🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j1 -
You don't have a special jigsaw outfit?! @dawnybabes Sort that out 😂
Out of interest, what do you enjoy about them? I got one (free) thinking it would be a wholesome, mindfulness thing to do but I lasted about 15 minutes then thought 'why am I sorting things out for 'fun', I spend all day sorting things out'. I think what I actually wanted was the picture of the bookshop on a summers day but I can look at the lid for that 😁1 -
Today's doings:
Admin
Tidying
Comping
Listed a vinted item
A few surveys today.
Kicked out of one for quality control which was fair enough, I was still half asleep and knew I didn't have any opinions on this company so just clicked dunno all through
Shower and hairwash
Bit of small work
20 minute walk, got milk for 2p using member coupon and left over members points from coop
Laundry
Sent a friend a link to a research survey near where he works, he'd get £75 voucher and I'd get £10 voucher so that'd be good
Quarter wussy situps
Requested Quidco money
Money from paypal pay to LPAs pot/mothers day budget
An Olioer came to collect one of my items and brought some pasta to swap which is very sweet (and useful)
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 2k and also a years supply of wine please. If I'm due lots of winningness which I'm pretty sure I am, I'd also like the 1.5k Joe Browns voucher, and 1k too.
I'm going to win the sofa, armchair and footstool set I have nowhere to put aren't I 😂
Small bit of cleaning but still especially achey so trying to do it in daily very small chunks
Transferred the £2.75 pay from paypal to current account
Waiting for Mr PIP to get back from work, dinner will be using up sauce and stuffed pasta again. I do love a dinner that takes five minutes to make

I am now thinking I need a jigsaw outfit even though I don’t do jigsaws - I am
envis a 50s housewife in pink gingham and white gloves !That shrimp emoji looks Cajun - as in the red is where they cover it in spices
keep going on the comping - you will win something fabulous eventually I promiseDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

My favourite jigsaws are from The Original Jigsaw Company - they have SO much detail in them! I tend to prefer the ones that are "structured" - so for example a collage of 1950's or 60's products, or a library type room view...the OJC ones we have are one celebrating the late Queen's platinum jubilee and a London Underground one - and again fit the "structured" model - I can't be doing with stupid amounts of sky, or masses of flowers in a cottage garden or that sort of thing - no patience for that! (We have one which is pictures of various birds - which a pal of ours has also done - and it's generally referred to as "feathery b******s" due to the amount of sky, very similar feather tones etc it has!)
At the risk of disappointing though, I'm afraid we do not have special jigsaw outfits!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I keep thinking I'd like to be a jigsaw person, keep looking at them wistfully when I take my Mum on her book trawls round the charity shops. But a) they're still quite pricey; and b) I can't bear the idea of other peoples' hair and bits of fluff that would inevitably be in the boxes 🤢🤢🤢Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I like the occasional jigsaw & have a Christmas one which belonged to my parents which I like to do every couple of years
I remember years ago, a friend's partner visited when I was doing a big complicated jigsaw -1000 or 1500 pieces, can't recall, but he was quite sneery about me using the picture on the lid for guidance as he said he never did this & it was 'cheating'. I'd never heard this puritanical jigsaw view before!

My Mum has a friend whose idea of fun is doing a jigsaw without reference to the picture on the lid. Apparently I "should try it" - err, no, I quite definitely shouldn't!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
