Neglected to post yesterday as was out meeting our family friends for flat chat, but the main mse things were:
I've run out of cleanser which is annoying as I thought I had some. Was probably being money saving. Cheapest is Amazon with free prime trial, am considering pros and cons
Dropped off a vinted sale
Used £5 M&S voucher towards a bottle of wine for mothers day
Got the last bottle of red reduced to 3.99 from 6.79 in Aldi
Was told to have a super Tuesday by a woman dressed as a unicorn. Looking forward to Tuesday
Discussed with Mr PIP and will still put £100 from Ernie in flat pot but divert £100 to new HMRC NI pot. Pizza night fund is staying!
Got Quidco money. £30 for mothers day, £1 stamps. Had a rethink and will send the remaining £5.95 to NI pot rather than current account
Got £10 surveys payout, £8 to flat pot, £2 to tax pot (grr)
Sent £11 from old tax pot to stamps budget
And happily our family friends don't need us to pay if there's a gap of 1-2 months before we move in (should it all occur) so the remaining £200.07 from old tax pot can go to NI pot, minus £20 to current account for beers with Mr PIP as it's my money I earned in the first place and I'm allowing a small nice thing!

I’m glad some funds are being spent on fun stuff.Told to have a super Tuesday by a woman dressed as a unicorn on a Saturday 🤔 That sounds like a too much cheese dream 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

No such thing as too much cheese @Sun_Addict! Besides, it was on Friday, therefore, um, making it much more plausible 😂https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Saturday's doings:
Admin comping tidying
Coop survey
Olio croissant for breakfast
Found cleanser!
Will need to consider the amazon postage issue soon as it does seem to be consistently cheaper there than shops I have reasonable access to, but the most important thing is I don't have to do financial mental gymnastics now
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 2k in store vouchers but I'd also like to win the slightly odd comp of two nights in Oxford, two nights in Cambridge, with Barbour jacket and wellies, with a travel voucher
Small hoover. Still loving the Shark so much
Sent money from old tax pot to NI pot (minus £20, to current account for beers with Mr PIP). With interest the 7p had gone up to 82p, it all adds up!
Survey on buses (my opinions were not favourable)
Item on Vinted
20 minute walk with Mr PIP getting bits
20 minute walk with Mr PIP for a couple of beers and catching up
Dinner was pasta and mum's vegetable splodge
Looking forward to spending time with mum tomorrow, and enjoying the exhibition and take-away together
Sending hugs and fortitude to anyone who needs it tomorrow for whatever reason if mother's day is a sad or trying one x

I’m intrigued to see what happens on Unicorn Tuesday …. 🤔
I”ve totally given up on Am@zon - now that I don’t have Pr1me (cancelled it when the subscription rocketed up last year) all the postage is astronomical! 😳 Yaay for finding the cleanser 😊
Still 🤞🤞 for your friends’ arrangements working out ….

I find Prime is still good value for me as we also use the Prime Video quite often so it's not just the postage. Also some of the free books on the 1st of the month are worth reading too.3

PB money has been sent to flat pot and NI pot (minus pizza fund)
That's all the money shuffles from the Big March Budget done, so revised aims/to-do's are now, in no particular order:
-Mothers day fares and takeaway
-Saving for NI pot
-Being extra cheap this month
-Vinteds
-Ziffits
-Doing on any small jobs available
-Pizza night
-M&S voucher remainder evening in
-eBay bits
-Car boot sale
-1k LISA alongside flat pot
-Sort LPAs once new tax year
-Buy stamps before increase
-Wait for the deluge of hampers etc that have clearly been delayed in the post to arrive 😁

Same for me. We both use the video and both take advantage of the free postage a lot. I also have a regular order for coffee beans and the cats Dreamies are cheaper (and they go through them so fast!), so it definitely pays for me. I also use the trick quite often of sending a big bar of chocolate with a gift message instead of a birthday card…when you add in the cost of a card and postage it is quite a bit cheaper and they get chocolate 😁joedenise said:I find Prime is still good value for me as we also use the Prime Video quite often so it's not just the postage.
