I am hopeless at jigsaws. Many years ago I trained as a nursery nurse and even had trouble doing the ones for the children., 😕3
-
My parents used to do jigsaws and we were Never to Touch them so they had a minor attraction.i associate them with HM wine and dry roasted peanuts and the holiday season, so we bought two with pictures we liked this year. The eldest boy took over whilst we were quietly bemused (but nonetheless drinking wine and eating peanuts), he did the first one and we quietly hope he will take over again and have opened some dry roasted peanuts in gentle anticipation.

Loving all your jigsaw comments 😂
I have not jigsawed today, but I have done:
Very grateful to Ernie for my £275 premium bonds win 🎉
The vast majority will go to flat pot but I might treat me and Mr PIP and mum to that take-away pizza I was hankering after about two months ago!

Comping
Tidying
Small bits of work
20 minute carpet walk reading book for ziffit
Item up on Vinted
Think I fixed mum's laptop audio issue! 🎉🎉🤞
Coop weekly receipt survey
Cashed in lottery win, Mr PIP sent our £2.60 to flat pot
Went for a couple of post work beers with Mr PIP, using Camra discount, and mum said to get a drink on her card so that was my round 😁
Dinner is normal pasta, which we have ample supply of thanks to kind Olioer, with mum's lovely vegetable splodge

Fabulous news about the PB win 🎉🥳 So pleased for you. Good idea about the pizza treat.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thanks all, nice to have something nice and mse to report! Of course it is tempting to stick it on my monthly budget and have a much more fun March but the flat pot, no matter how meagre compared to others' savings, makes me feel like I'm contributing something to our plans, and is somewhere we'll be able to draw from to take at least a wee bit of the painful costs out of building and legal fees (should we ever be allowed to do it!)
The pizza treat is staying though 😁
I'm aware I said any medium to big Brucie Bonuses would go towards LISA pot (/possible rent crossover) but any premium bonds wins have all gone to flat pot so far, so that seems the right place. I can review any future winnings should Ernie be as kind again in the next tax year
Hope there'll be a good chunk left after pizza, will have to get different ones as we like completely different toppings 🌽 (controversial sweetcorn emoji 😁)2 -

Great PB win! woohooDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
