I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy1 -

Cleaned kitchen floor
Mum decided she didn't particularly want to go out and that it was a staying in and being cosy day instead
I did a bit of sorting out for car boot sale/possible moving, including a Vinted listing and some bits for the charity shop bag
Take-away this evening, plan is to go for Greek which is exciting. Mustn't order too much *orders too much*

The weather has been dire here too after a glorious day yesterday. Rained ALL day 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Ah yes @Sun_Addict but as I keep repeating to myself, this is spring freezing and bloody horrible, not winter freezing and bloody horrible, such a difference 👀😂0

Pleased to report that mum enjoyed her food, unfortunately I was sent a meat version and started stuffing it in my face before realising (it was mousakka so not immediately evident, it's not like I was pulling the legs off a lobster and wondering why this tomato seemed weird).
Complaint registered with Just Eat, haven't consumed meat in decades, but we all know that I have super chill guts so I'm sure it'll be fine...
But the main reason I'm drivelling on is to praise the mse 'cook once, eat twice' ethos (which I think I picked up from @foxgloves, thank you) as it meant I could quickly warm up leftover pasta and still participate in our mothers day dinner without making my mum feel like our treat had been spoiled.
We've had a lovely day and I hope everyone else has too whether celebrating what is ultimately yet another festival of meaningless and unnecessary consumerism or not x
Though I do have to appreciate the irony of me a week or two ago calling out nonsense emails and ads for being all BUY YOUR MUM HAM and me now having offered my mum an extra beef meal on mother's day. Touchè corporate b*llocks, touchè4 -
Glad you were able to rescue things @PennysIntoPounds That reminds me of years ago. When I met Mr L he was vegetarian. About six months after we got together we ordered a curry for delivery and they sent him one with chicken in it instead of cauliflower. He was so hungry that he ate it anyway and that was him eating meat again for a number of years (a man of great moral fibre.....ha ha!). We have both been fully vegetarian since Jan 2021 and try to be as plant based as possible so definitely wouldn't eat it now! Good you are feeling better.

Unsurprisingly, bit of a dodgy tummy so haven't done much today. Bit disappointing as I could have pushed myself to do more but on the other hand I've spent nothing and have been reading so getting nearer to ziffitable books!

Was brave and put a post asking for advice up on the mse mortgage section. It was obviously so inane it crashed the whole site as I've got an error message every time I've tried to catch up on anyone's diary
Tiny bit of work
Item up on Vinted
A third of wussy situps
Ten minute carpet walk reading book for ziffit
Dinner will be leftovers of the all-healing mum's cauliflower cheese and a baked spud

Interesting little article in a recent New Scientist about ultra processed foods, was reassuring to read this snippet as I was starting to get a bit overwhelmed by the debate1
