There are three links on the forum home page which do exactly the same thing:
- "All Boards" under quick links on the right hand panel
- "View all categories" under the scroll-across menu of forum categories
- "View all boards" on the right of the Forum Categories menu
Anyway, maybe if you think people want to see all the boards so much that you need to put links to do that in five places, you ought to have that as a main feature of the forum home page.

I agree with everything already mentioned.
The most urgent thing that needs addressing is the contrast / colour scheme / brightness. It actually hurts my eyes to read more than a couple of pages.
Secondly, the wasted white-space everywhere, with child-like font sizes is weird.
99% sure they won't change it, though.

I have a number of boards marked as 'favourite' (now called 'followed content'.
I usually look at this list to see if any new threads have been posted.
This used to be easy as the date and time of the latest post was shown.
If no new content, I just pass that board by.
However, with this new version, my 'followed content' does not show any date or time information.
It just shows what the latest post is. That may be 3 weeks old on a quiet board.
It does however inform me that I started following a particular board on dd/mm/yy and that there are xxxx discussions on that board.
What use is that information to anyone?
So now I have to go into the board to see if there are any new threads/posts that I may be interested in.

so I have no idea on what date or at what time the latest posts were made.
This is on my laptop. Exactly the same on my mobile.
However, if I view all boards, it does actually tell me the date and time of new posts.
The point of having 'Followed content' is that I just look at boards that are of interest to me.

If you want to see the latest posts on your followed boards only, then this link:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussions?followed=true&sort=-dateLastComment
might be the one you want to bookmark in your browser - it's the latest threads page with the filters set to your followed boards only, and recent comments (as opposed to new threads).Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com5 -

Edit - The most annoying thing for me is that every time I move the mouse across my screen, for example to use my browser 'back' button, when it passes over the top page menu containing 'Quick Links - Categories - Forum Rules - Help', without any input from me it automatically shows submenus. It's very annoying. You can fix this if you have uBlock Origin installed as one of your browser's add-ons to block adverts etc, by adding the below line to the list called My filters:forums.moneysavingexpert.com##.css-x717dg-titleBarStyles-container

If Quick Links is on a taskbar at the top, does it also need to be in a column on the right side of the page (with 2 or 3 non-forum News items)?
That's on a PC. On a mobile phone, Quick Links is at the bottom of the page, so people are going to either use the menu dropdown link at the top or scroll all the way to the bottom.
But on the Forum Home page, View All Boards and View All Categories (which seem be be the same) are somewhere halfway down the page.
Some featured threads or board sections are above those links, and some featured threads are below. The ones above seem randomly chosen, haven't altered in a couple of days, and some of those aren't very active (1 reply in a board since 12th, 4 replies, 5 replies)
But you know all this already
It seems a little inconsistent.0 -

I take your main point regarding the repetitive links, but do not agree with the comment re the MSE Forum (teal) bar.
I actually like this feature because the bar stays in place when I'm scrolling down a thread and so I can select a 'Quick Link' or 'Category' without scrolling and with just one click. The hover menus only appear for those two options so just avoid moving the mouse over them, but if a hover menu does appear across the top of the screen just move the mouse pointer away.Using Windows 11 laptop.

Please could MSE confirm if they have plans to add these forum links to the bottom of each page:
